The apartment was very conveniently located between the railway station and the main tourist sites. It was quiet on the whole and had everything we needed. Our host was warmly welcoming and really helpful, and let us leave our bags there on our last day so we could explore the city more without dragging them around. It felt like a safe area.
Thie toilet paper situaion puzzled me - there was only a little in each bathroom, and so we had to buy more as soon as possible. Also there was a loud buzzing sound that happened frequently and we couldn't locate the source. Using earplugs helped!

Fabulous central location, easy access to all the attractions of Pisa.
