Aesthetically pleasing house in a nice, calm area

The old Rectory is aesthetically pleasing with a lot of attention to detail. It gives you a quiet base in a busy city center. Very nice area with lots of bars, bakeries and shops. Perfect for a weekend away with partner or friends

Basic amenities. Kitchen could use more utensils (e.g.: no wine opener, no scissors, only 1 pan, no colander,...). The rectory gets very cold in winter, pack some extra warm clothes and indoor shoes as the floor is very cold and there are no carpets to keep your feet warm.

Staying in the old rectory is a unique experience: far more interesting than a chain hotel room. It’s close the city center but apart from anything touristy. I felt I got a peek at Utrecht life. And my host Maikke is a delight.

There could have been a wash basin in the WC room as had to open 2 doors before I could wash my hands and it would be nice as bigger towels or wraps could be provided as you cross the hall on route

This was the perfect place for us to explore Utrecht. We loved the location, comfort, design and most of all the lovely hosts. We will definitely book again when we return.

Ok if you just need a bed and shower, but is not a place to relax and feel comfortable.

The shower was great. We also appreciated having use of a washing machine and a fridge.

Was very disappointed, whilst the room looks nice in the photos it does not function very well for guests. - The windows didn't open and whilst it wasn't too hot the only way to get fresh air in to the room is to open the front door which is not very private and cannot be left open overnight. - The toilet is the other side of the hallway; whilst this is made clear and wasn't a big issue for us, there is no sink in the toilet so you have to walk back into the main bedroom to wash your hands - this is not very hygienic. - There were only two coat hangers for hanging clothes. - The bed was not comfortable - both pillows were very thick and I hurt my neck from sleeping in an uncomfortable postion, the duvet was thick and heavy which was not appropriate for summer. - There was a kettle, tea and coffee provided, but no milk sachets provided. - The bedroom looks out onto the front street so if you wanted complete privacy you had to pull the blinds all the way down which blocked out the light. Some thin curtains are needed (in addition to the blinds). - Didn't like the modern decor, the lighting was very harsh, and it just wasn't a relaxing place to stay.

Amazing apartment!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Appartement in de Pastorie. The location is absolutely perfect—just a short and pleasant walk from the city center, yet tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood that feels like a retreat from the bustle. The apartment itself is beautifully restored, blending historic charm with modern comfort. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged, from the cozy furnishings to the well-equipped kitchen. We especially loved the little terrace—perfect for a morning coffee or a relaxing evening. Our hosts were warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, offering great tips for local spots and making sure we had everything we needed. The free on-site parking and fast Wi-Fi were also big pluses. If you're looking for a stylish, quiet, and convenient place to stay in Utrecht, this is it. We’d come back in a heartbeat!

Charming neighborhood, with its quiet, serene vibe, was perfect for relaxation, and the short walk to the city center.

A huge thank you to the wonderful host for her exceptional support during a stressful incident. On 3rd, April 2025, my rental van from SIXT, wrongly provided instead of my booked SUV, got stuck in the gravel lot, an unprecedented event per the owner. The owner promptly assisting us and managing the lot’s repair with grace. Her kindness turned a frustrating situation into a manageable one, and her hospitality made our stay memorable. Highly recommend.

How nice it is to stay in an authentic Utrecht building

It was very pleasant to stay 2 nights in this beautiful, renovated facility 15 minutes walk from the center of Utrecht. Our room was on the ground floor (we were lucky, considering the typical Dutch stairs 😅) large, bright, comfortable, warm and clean. Comfortable bed, large shower, kettle and coffee machine with capsules. Maaike, the owner who welcomed us, was really nice and helpful. I would definitely stay there again!

The only drawback is that the toilet, which is also private, is in a separate room just outside the bedroom, and the effect of the lower temperature than in the bedroom is a little uncomfortable, but manageable.

Ein schöner „pastoraler“ Aufenthalt, stilvoll, friedlich, gemütlich.

Total schöne Altbauwohnung, absolut ruhig. Fussläufig zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten Utrechts. Extrem gemütliches Bett, sehr sauber und extrem schön eingerichtet. Wir fanden es sehr gemütlich. Vor allem nach einem Tag auf den Beinen. Sehr sehr nette Vermieterin.

Wenn man das Haar in der Suppe sucht: ein Toaster wäre toll.

Un alojamiento muy cómodo y bien ubicado

Nuestra estancia en el alojamiento fue fantástica. Es un espacio agradable, bonito y cómodo. Está todo muy limpio y las camas son comodísimas. En cuanto a la zona es genial, porque estás muy cerca del centro pero en una zona muy tranquila y agradable. Además, hay un supermercado justo al lado. En cuanto a la anfitriona, en este caso no pudo venir pero nos atendió su sobrina Lotus. Fue muy amable y nos ayudó mucho enviándonos información de restaurantes, zonas y lugares donde alquilar bicicletas. Lo recomiendo mucho, si volvemos a Utrecht, intentaremos alojarnos en el mismo sitio.

El único "pero" que podría poner es que la puerta de entrada al apartamento no tiene llave para cerrarla. Esta da a la cocina y de la cocina se pasa al resto del apartamento a través de otra puerta que sí se puede cerrar. De esta manera la única zona que queda sin cerrar es la cocina. En cualquier caso no nos preocupó, porque realmente la zona es muy segura y para entrar al edificio se necesita llave. ¡Volveríamos igualmente!

Een fijn bed, fijne douche. Goede ontvangst. We konden zelfs het stoomapparaat lenen om onze feestkleding te ontkreuken. Rustige straat.

Er kon geen raam open, we lieten de kamerdeur open voor wat circulatie. Er is wel een luchtverversingssysteem maar het is toch fijner om iets open te kunnen zetten.

Een aangenaam verblijf op een bijzonder mooie en rustige locatie. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door de gastvrouw. Een schone kamer met een fijne inloopdouche en een aparte toilet op de gang. Koffie, thee en koelkast aanwezig.

Es war ein tolles Wochenende in Utrecht in einer außergewöhnlichen Unterkunft.

Die Lage ist toll. Das Haus liegt an einer ruhigen Straße, aber man ist zufuss in 10 Minuten im Stadtzentrum. Auch der Weg dorthin ist reizvoll: an der Windmühle und durch hübsche kleinen Straßen. Die Gastgeber sind total zauberhaft: wir kamen spät an und haben vom BBQ etwas bekommen. Wir konnten auch die Sachen noch bis zur Abfahrt nachmittags in der Wohnung lassen. Die Wohnung ist super eingerichtet und die Küche top ausgestattet. Auch bei der Suche nach einem Parkhaus waren die Gastgeber super hilfsbereit. Wir würden sofort wieder dort buchen!!! Auch bei

Wir fühlten uns wie bei Freunden zuhause!

Durch die persönliche Betreuung von Maaike, der Besitzerin, und ihrem Mann, hat man sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt. Es macht doch einen Unterschied, ob man sich die Schlüssel anonym aus einer Schlüsselbox holt oder freundlich begrüßt wird. Wir hatten zu dritt das obere Appartement in dem ehemaligen Pfarrhaus, das uns viel Platz bot und liebevoll mit vielen besonderen Details eingerichtet war. So steht in der Küche eine der alten Kirchenbänke, die zwar ungemütlich aussieht, aber zum Lieblingsplatz von unserer Tochter und mir wurde. Die Betten waren sehr gemütlich, unsere Tochter liebte ihr Schlafsofa. Das Bad ist groß und geräumig und mit allem ausgestattet, was benötigt wird. Auch die Küche ist, soweit ich das überblicken konnte (denn wir haben sie nur zum Frühstücken genutzt) bestens ausgestattet. Die Lage war für uns ideal: ruhig, aber citynah. Ein großer Jumbo-Supermarkt ist um die Ecke, nach 5 min Schlendern ist man am nördlichen Ende der Oudegracht und von dort ist es dann nur noch ein kurzer Spaziergang und man ist mitten im trubeligen Herzen von Utrecht. Utrecht ist eine tolle Stadt, aber das Sahnehäubchen war unsere Unterkunft im alten Pfarrhaus, in dem wir uns immer wieder von den vielen Eindrücken entspannt haben. Maaike war zu jeder Zeit für uns erreichbar, hatte immer Zeit für einen kleinen herzlichen Plausch - wir fühlten wie bei Freunden zuhause!

Prachtige kamers, in mooi gerestaureerd pand. Top locatie!

Mooi pand., weer eens wat anders. Wij hadden de eerste etage met eigen keuken. Alles was aanwezig. Fijne kamer en mooi ingericht. Heerlijk bed. Prachtige badkamer. Ook de locatie is top. Vlakbij een Jumbo, handig voor het ontbijt. En in een kwartiertje lopen ben je in het centrum. En verder heerlijk rustig!

Mooie, moderne kamer. Heel schoon. Heel licht. Koffie en thee voorhanden, fijn bed, fijne badkamer.

Als er dan al iets wat minder was, is het t feit dat de wc aan de andere kant van het halletje, buiten de kamer was. Maar uiteindelijk was die wc alleen voor ons en kwamen er geen andere gasten door het halletje gedurende ons verblijf.

Lichte, persoonlijke kamer met alle gemakken voorzien, op een unieke locatie!

Ontzettend prettige kamer, met een fijne lichte ambiance, goede badkamer en een groot bed. De eigenaren wonen dichtbij, wat een veilig, persoonlijk en warm gevoel geeft. Je hebt een eigen ingang dus wel lekker de vrijheid. Er zijn goede verzorgingsproducten (shampoo etc) aanwezig wat heel handig en luxe voelt als je voor een korte tijd verblijft zoals ik deed.
