Amazing, as usual. We've stayed here twice already and have enjoyed both stays.

The host was very nice! We enjoyed the location and neighborhood. The house was spacious and comfortable. Really good beds and couches. The kitchen had everything needed to cook. The bathroom and toilet room were both clean and good to use. The dishwasher provided was very useful.

We did not have a washing machine/dryer so we couldn't wash towels and clothes, but we only stayed five days so it wasn't a big problem. A hair blowdryer wasn't provided either which became a bit inconvenient in the cold weather. The water boiler emptied up really quickly for some reason, and often we were left without hot water to wash ourselves, having to wait an hour or so for it to refill. This didn't happen during our first stay though, so it could have been a one-off problem.

No heating and unresponsive owner.

Unfortunately the heating in one of the two cabins we rented did not work. We still had to pay the full price. We did not get an answer by the personnel or booking for refund claims. The owner ended up just not replying at all to any attempts to contact him. Left us with a really bad impression after we spent the freezing night in November there. Certainly we will never stay there again and further will refrain from using booking as an agency in the future.

Perfect, nothing less than that

The place was exceptional - it was clean, modern and absolutely perfect . Location couldn’t have been better - everything was in 5min driving distance to Utrecht, and what we couldn’t get to by car, the bus could! Couldn’t ask for a better place - it’s definitely a place we will come back to

We could have used a few more pillows, and a washing machine - but I saw that a bigger house on the same location had that, so next time we come by, we’ll just order that instead

Nature and convenient place

The place is ideal for spending time with your toddler. Lots of space in the living room but also the nature around the apartment. Other than that a fully equipped place to spend a lot of time, privacy inside and outside the apartment, helpful staff and warm inside for cold days. The location is really nice for Utrecht standards, nature and cycle to the city in close proximity.

Excellent place for enjoying the nature and calmness

It was a simple booking via booking.com. But very quick communication with the resort: it was a question of late arrival and we received a quick answer and confirmation from the redort that they will wait for us. We have booked the small house which was practically new, very clean and cosy. The staff was very friendly and helps in any situation. Next time when I visit Ultrecht I will stay certainly here. The impressive location with the river and quiet place.

Domstad contributed greatly to the wonderful vacation we had as a family.

The location was perfect. Centrally situated for all places we wanted to visit. The resort is also kind of secluded from the outside world, quiet, peaceful, surrounded by woods with a lot of walking paths. We loved the nearby lake with its ducks. What we loved most of all, we happened to get the last house at the far end of the camping site at the water where we could see ducks swimming. We were not disturbed by nobody. Last but not least, the service that we got from Dave was super. He acted fast on requests. He even offered to keep the motorcycle of our son in a safe place till we got back from two days in Paris.

Maybe a washing machine, but we managed quite well with a laundry not far away from our location. I cannot think of other things we did not like. We just loved the place.

Convenient and functional

This was the second time my parents stayed at this place because it’s a very convenient place to stay in Utrecht. It offers a good solution for people that want to stay in a quiet place but still close to the city, which is located at a 30 minutes walk or 10 minutes by bus/bike. The houses are furnished and have the essential stuff for cooking/eating and cleaning. Are surrounded by a park where you can have walks or you can bike.

A very relaxing break in a beautiful setting.

It was modern, well equipped, spacious, comfortable and clean.

It was very hot inside. Fans were provided for each bedroom but it was very difficult to sleep in the heat. The workman outside our bedroom window at 8am laying paving flags.

Spotless, modern self-catering accommodation in excellent location.

Location is excellent with the best of both worlds. Lovely green area with lots of trees. Less than half an hour walk into the city centre. We just left the car at the chalet since parking on Utrecht is expensive.

Would have thought that soap and shampoo are standard issue in any type of accommodation, but apparently not in Domstad. So make sure you bring/buy some. Nearest shop is a good distance away.

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I would absolutely stay here again during my next visit!

The accommodation here was spacious, comfortable, and in a great location (i.e. not too far from the city centre yet still in close proximity to green spaces and wetlands to make it feel like enough of an “escape” from the hustle & bustle of the city). Checking in and out was also very straightforward, and the price of the accommodation was very reasonable. I would certainly come back and stay here if I ever return to Utrecht.

The only issue we encountered was minor - we found that the front door was quite difficult to unlock, so perhaps a bit more of an explanation on how to use the key properly would have been better.

Great place for a family vacation.

Clean,. spacious and lots of natural light. Well appointed kitchen and friendly staff. Nice spot on the canal. Convenient to buses giving good access to Utrecht central.

Internet upload speed was practically zero. I ended up using my own hotspot for work but it was fine for streaming services.

The house is very spacious and comfortable. It has a nice terace too. The access to city is easy with public bus.

It has a construction site around. Due to this, after long hours of rain it was muddy around the house. Moreover the car was parked in the mud because the pavement is not ready yet.

Above expectations it really was Fantastic and would recommend this accomodation to any family =)

The accomodation itself was great clean comfortable and modern. the reception staff were really knowledgable on the area and history even showing us defence structures not listed on things to do in websites. they went above and beyond for us and really cant fault our stay. the site is surrounded by a quite canels and lake which act like a mote there are walking trails and alot of greenery which make a nice walk in the evenings. the site is approximatly 30 minutes walk to the town center through some quite back streets a nice walk again of an evening and not to far for children

we would have liked on site laundry facilities being caught short (i know thats our fault) . we did mention this to the owner who is building a purpose built facility onsite as we speak so there will be facilities when we definatly return in the future =)

Cosy and comfy

I booked two of those houses for my parents and cousin’s family (with also a 4yo kid) and they really enjoyed their stay. The location is inside a park easily reachable by bike from the city centre, a little bit less easy by bus. I think the entire place is pretty new since there were some bungalow still under construction, so I assume the pedestrian way to reach it is still in the making. According to them, the place was silent and they had no problems to sleep. I found the bungalow were really well equipped, with modern forniture and all the basic stuff you need in a house. Just keep in mind that before going back there, you might want to stop to do grocery since there isn’t a supermarket really nearby (the first one is 20 mins walking according to maps) but if you have a bike or a car, that might make it easier. There is no staff there and the check in and check out are done with a code that you receive the day of the check-in, but they are available on the booking chat for everything you need. I found that a really good point since, most of the times maybe you don’t need to reach out to reception, but if you do is nice to have a prompt response. I would say that if you want a relaxed holiday with the freedom of cooking whenever you want, that’s the perfect option!

The only thing I would probably improve are the indications on how to reach the place if you are not by bike or car, since you have to cross a park and might not be intuitive if you don’t know the place. But this is probably something that will be implemented once also all the bungalow and area will be finished.

New accommodations, quiet, all facilities are available, clean.

One of the rooms didn't have curtains, so it was a bit hard to sleep there with the sun rising at 5AM and sunset at 10PM at evening. Also no Air-co.

The owner of this place was a great guy who helped us with some unexpected issues. Rooms were as described, clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable and big enough for 2 people. Location was awesome, quiet and calm but also connected to city center by a short bus ride. Excellent experience overall.
