Sheperd's huts must be the most honest, authentic way of sleeping in the Cotswolds. Very close to Witney, that Mom and Pop feeling of a small pub who kindly and hospitably host you. The best way to travel, definitely.
Timber found in the hut just a little too big for the fire furnace, very difficult to light with provided kindle.

The shepherd hut was perfect, cosy, comfy and clean. The pub it was located on was lovely, the food was great and the staff friendly

Host went out of his way to feed us in the evening which, given we were on foot, was very much appreciated. The breakfast was excellent. In the garden they had bowling and table tennis. The other member of staff in the pub was really helpful too.
Not a problem for us or anyone with a car but be aware if part of a walking holiday there isn't much else around e.g. shops but we liked that.
