I've totally reset after my break, if you need total zen, this is your place..

I have never experienced a trip away like it. I have left today feeling super relaxed and reset. The hoist Catherine is so zen and makes you feel at home.. that's the best way to describe staying at Peace in the City.. like being at home.

I loved everything, but I have no sense of direction..so just saying there's 2 co ups.. just if your going to beach.. but that's just me having no sense of direction.. hardly.. a ...I didnt like ha ha.. theres no TV in rooms, I appreciate that and that is the whole meaning of peace I would say, but I'd imagine the odd person might question this

A quiet and comfortable stay with warm hosting.

My stay with Catherine was wonderful. The room was quiet, warm and decorated in a natural style. I felt very comfortable. Catherine provided everything I could have needed. The location was easy to reach and very peaceful. I would be happy to stay here again.

Wonderful.

Perfect. Every detail chosen with care and love. Catherine is a wonderful host, next time in Edinburgh, I hope, to be able to stay with her again. The bathroom is not perfectly private, but it is so well kept after that I did not mind at all sharing it with some of Catherine's treatment customers.

Lovely and peaceful

It is really peace in the city. The place was very lovely, clean, peaceful and so beautiful. The atmosphere was almost magic. Catherine is the best host I ever met and she is very lovely and kind soul. I really enjoyed staying there and if I ever come back to Edinburgh, I’ll make sure to stay at hers again.

Amazing and comfortable place to stay whilst visiting Edinburgh!

I had an amazing time staying at peace in the city, Catherine is a very kind and great host, I’ve never felt such at home away from home. I also liked how close it was to the royal botanical gardens, such a good place to visit! I recommend

Congenial host in a quiet neighbourhood.

Great accommodation - Catherine is a superb hostess. Very helpful and organised. The property is situated in a quiet neighbourhood. I only stayed the one night and used a taxi to get me to the airport. I didn’t have time to explore public transport etc. My visit coincided with the start of the Edinburgh Festival when accommodation is at a premium. Newhaven Harbour is 20-30 minutes walk away. Room was absolutely beautiful! Gorgeously decorated and so cozy and welcoming. Catherine is a wonderful host and made me feel nothing short of welcome, comfortable, and at home. A truly first-class experience!!

This hidden gem is sheer perfection.

What a hidden gem this place is in Edinburgh! Catherine is a wonderful host and the place is stunning. There are two stunning rooms in her place with a shared bathroom, kitchen area and sitting room. This is not a bed and breakfast or a hotel. No food is available but there are shops and a supermarket very close by. I purchased some pasta pots and sandwiches and put them in the fridge. Parking is free and you just need to hop on a bus (9 and 27 I used) to the city centre. I will be back. Thank you Catherine for the chats and looking after me.

Pleasant, warm and quiet

I liked everything. This is a comfortable home stay. It is pleasant and aesthetic, and fit my needs well. I would not hesitate to stay again. I like the quiet neighborhood. It is not far from the bus to the airport and feels safe. This box asked me about breakfast, which was N.A.--which was just fine. Coffee and tea fixings provided.

There was nothing to wish I took objection. It is not a fancy place and does not pretend or need to be.

Cosy little place

Very nice room in a very nice flat, it's really cosy, clean, airy and fresh. Katherine is a great host, very friendly and ready to help. She offers coffee, tea and biscuits. :) The place is very close to the waterfront, some stores and bus stops to and from the city and the airport.

Love this place

Communication by Catherine was great, gave clear instructions and a thoughtful host. The house itself is really beautiful, very clean, cosy, organised and the bed and pillows are super comfy. Nice quiet neighbourhood, 10 minute drive to Usher Hall. Great price for Edinburgh too.

Parking is a bit sketchy but this wouldn't stop me from staying again.

Exceptional place to unwind, relax & sleep in such a fantastic capital city called Edinburgh...

Fantastic place to stay & would highly recommend when visiting Scotland's 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 famous capital Edinburgh. Host Catherine so warm & welcoming & great local knowledge regarding transportation, places to visit/eat etc. Nothing to much trouble, great communication & such a lovely quiet neighbourhood yet close to the big city & also so close to a fantastic seafront. Pack your walking boots 🙂 Room was great value, a decent size & so relaxing. Bed so comfortable. Shower was lovely, the heated towel rails brilliant. Would score peace in the city 11 outta 10... above & beyond it's that good. Coffee & biscuits a nice way to start your sightseeing. So pleased that I chose to stay here 🙂

Lovely host, beautiful room, great sleep

Catherine was the best host ever. She lives upstairs so we were a guest in her own house which was very special. Catherine has put a lot of love into the styling and decorating of the accommodation and has so many useful tips (where to eat, places to visit etc). She is very easy to get on with, so we had lots of lovely conversations. The street is exceptionally quiet, and the beds are very comfy so you will definitely get a good night's sleep. Tea, coffee and biscuits were available at all times :)

Eine Perle zwischen Zentrum und Meer

Das Apartment ist eine glatte 10, das Zimmer ist eine glatte 10 und Cathrine selbst ist ebenfalls eine glatte 10. Wer hier logiert, wird es nicht bereuen. Das Apartment liegt in einem Wohngebiet und befindet sich im ersten Stock, alles ist geschmackvoll und wertig eingerichtet, sauber und gepflegt, die Küche und der Kühlschrank dürfen mitbenutzt werden (wohl aber nicht für Kochorgien), die Schuhe bleiben unten. Zwei Zimmer teilen sich ein Badezimmer mit Badewanne. Die Matratze ist angenehm weich. Der botanische Garten und das Meer sind fußläufig in etwa einer Viertelstunde zu erreichen. Catherine ist eine offene, freundliche und großzügige Weltenbummlerin. Auf diesem Weg vielen Dank für die interessanten Gespräche.
