Calm and relaxing weekend away. Everything we needed

Location was fab! Very secluded and private. The pod was clean and had everything you needed. They even had extra logs available to buy on site for the hot tub and fire pit.

Disappointing

Really nice accommodation. The private enclosure is ideal. Nice views. Inside was clean. This has the makings to be a 10 except for one major issue.

The accommodation comes with a hot tub. When you book dates for 2 ngts and with it comes the use of a hot tub, you would expect 2ngts use of the hot tub. Here's where it is difficult to understand the set-up. If you book for 2ngts or more you will only get a little bit of wood to heat the hot tub for 1 night. The hot tub is pre-lit, so it could have been going for hours before you even arrive. By the time you go into the hot tub, its cold. There is no wood provided to keep it warm. You then dont get any wood for the 2ngt of your stay, despite booking it for 2ngts. You have to pay for that wood. The owners really need to read back their own policy on this and genuinely think if it makes any sense whatsoever. If you book accommodation for 2 nights or more, with the use of a hot tub. You will only get wood for 1 night. So in other words, you infact don't get use of a hot tub for 2 nights. It's like somewhere advertising bed & breakfast for 2 nights but when you arrive, you only get breakfast on the 1st morning, then have to pay for the 2nd. Its no different! This makes zero sense. Actually spoiled what could have been a 10 out of 10 experience. Ample wood should be provided for both nights and not pre-lit hours before hand (unless requested). There is a fire bowl at the accommodation. If someone decided to use this, then buying wood in this case is perfectly understandable. We definitely won't be returning unless this policy changes. You simply don't get what you paid for, and what was advertised, as there is nothing to say this is the policy. Really frustrating, got the hardest part right. However, what should be the really easy part, completely wrong.

We found the hot tub difficult to get warm on our second day even though we followed the instructions for lighting the fire.

What an amazing little spot - a feeling of isolation and peace . The pods have been designed and situated for privacy so you can totally switch off from the outside world and relax .
