La climatisation impossible à régler

Literally on the door step of the Galata Tower. Easy access to cafes/restaurants/grocery shops. Well equipped kicthen. We made use of the washing machine (detergent, drying rack & dehumidifier provided). Made use of iron & ironing board. Toiletries & bathroom facilities were excellent , shaving kit etc were provided.(could provide more toilet rolls). Breakfast was great at Guney Cafe (voucher provided). The host was brilliant. We kept in touch via whatsapp & he replied straight away & very helpful indeed.

Bins were not emptied for 2 days. Room was cleaned. WiFi was patchy, ok in the main living room but did not work in the bedroom.

The location is literally next to Galata Tower, a beautiful, bohemian area with small streets, full of shops and a lot of places to eat. There are some downsides though, depending on what you're looking for. It's packed with tourists, the prices are quite high, you need to walk a lot (which we enjoy) and can be very noisy. However, in the apartment was very quiet, as it's well insulated. The apartment was very confortable and very well equiped.

For the breakfast you have to go at a Cafe/Bistro very close to the apartment and choose from a special menu, based on a voucher you get every monring at a reception. On weekends it can be very crowded, because they also serve regular customers. The food was not bad, not great. You get to choose from one breakfast meal and an espresso or tea per person. However, if you want a Turkish coffee, you have to pay. I also got the feeling that the staff at the Cafe/Bistro were more interested in serving regular customers than us, who were using a pre-payed voucher.
