BYPILLOW Callao

Everything was clean and organized. Starting from reception and finishing bathroom. The mattress and the pillows were great, soft and comfortable. Complimentary cookies, coffee and tea made a difference! Location is excellent, can't be better than that! AC was working SO GOOD - not very common in EU. The hotel was quiet, couldn't hear street noise neither. Also the curtains were heavy and darkened the room perfectly!! The staff was so nice!! Super accommodating and pleasant. Definitely recommending and would stay again.

I wish they would have more storage/space for suitcases. I didn't see a luggage rack. Also more hooks in a bathroom and corridor would be great too. I was missing a paper tissue box as well. Small things but can make a nice improvement.

Clean comfortable excellent location and great staff and services

Todo lo que necesitábamos para una estancia perfecta en Madrid, la ubicación es excelente en plena plaza del Callao por lo tanto el metro está ahí mismo (línea 3, línea 5) se puede llegar fácilmente caminando a plaza Mayor y todo lo que la rodea, plaza España también está muy cerca, a parque El Retiro el trayecto puede tardar 30 minutos caminando lo que se disfruta muchísimo ya que pasas por alguno de los lugares más emblemáticos del centro. En cuanto al hotel todo es impecable, cama muy cómoda, aire acondicionado funciona perfecto, baño de buen tamaño, cuenta con un hervidor y una pequeña nevera, tiene muy buena insonorización por lo que se puede disfrutar de estar en pleno centro y a la vez de tranquilidad. Personal muy atento, nos reservaron entradas para disfrutar de un “tablao” y también nuestro taxi de salida hacia el aeropuerto.

The attentiveness of the receptionist and more specifically one of them, Alba. She was very informative and helpful.

Various aspects were disappointing. One is the fact that the hotel is very limited in space, rooms are very small, there is no actual lobby where to sit or stay. There is no telephone in the room so if you need to call reception where there is one single person only you have to come to the corridor to ring from the corridor. Although there is two servings of water, two small beers and one coca cola in the mini bar and this one is free of charge for the first night only, there is also an expresso machine with two single capsules of coffee which are also only for the first morning. After that you need to pay 5 euros for another two capsules. The main issue was the fact that there are no common areas, no restaurant or bar, nothing but a lift to go to your small room and that is it. A hotel needs to have a common area and bigger lobby with W.C. and a bar or restaurant. The services are extremely limited. It is you renting a room basically. This was disappointing.
