South Lodge

A really well maintained house on one level. Lovely bathroom with oodles of hot water.. Underfloor heating kept the whole property warm and cosy.. Comfy beds. A log burner(we didn’t use it) A great looking outdoor jacuzzi (didn’t use that also) I really liked having to open and close the gate, made us feel like we were on a private estate.. 🥰

The whole of the property has hard flooring so some people might need slippers.. however it wasn’t a problem for us. It’s a very busy road .. however once inside it’s not a problem at all.

Tout était parfait. Propreté, confort, équipement… un petit joyau avec vue sur la campagne. Proche de Driffield et un excellent point de départ pour des visites de la région.

The house was very tastefully decorated and secure boundarys

There was only one bathroom and the shower was over the bath very difficult to get in and out of the shower if you are elderly. The microwave was stored in a cupboard I am 5ft 2 and 7st it was very difficult for me to lift the micro wave in and out of the cupboard if you wanted to use it. When we got to the cottage after a long drive from Scotland the sat nav took us to the wrong house on the other side of the road. The house was not signposted at all from the outside and there is no light from the road side so the drive is difficult to find especially in the dark. The key lock was difficult to find on another building. Finally the house is very tastefully decorated but the house is rather cramp for 4 people with not much suitable storage for clothes shoes etc.The flooring is ceramic tiles throughout my husband slipped in the lounge fell and broke his hip. We are now stranded in Yorkshire while he undergoes a hip replacement in Hull infirmary.
