Close to the metro station and managed to park for free right outside the apartment. Apartment was very clean. Plenty of hot water.

Not the best area and the area was very noisy through the night. No double glazing, so it was very difficult to sleep. Installing that would make a massive difference to the quality of your stay. There was building work going on next door and over the road. That, was extremely noisy in the apartment and would start very early. I know this is not the owners fault and will not always be the case, but I can only comment on our experience during this stay. We found the beds too hard. The air con worked but was also noisy. So all of these factors led to nobody really sleeping during the stay and the lower score. If we had been able to sleep during the stay then the score would have been higher. Apartment is very dated with low quality furnishings. There were no lamps at all in the apartment and the ceiling lights were all very bright white light. So you either had to sit in extremely bright, ambience killing white light or in the dark. We struggled with only one bathroom for the amount of people, but that's our own fault for booking an apartment with only one. But everything in the apartment worked and it was clean. You wouldn't want to spend much time in the apartment due to the noise and lack of space (there's nowhere to sit and eat unless you eat on your lap in the living room and we like to sit and eat as a family), but ok if it's just somewhere to sleep that's close to the metro. But we didn't get any sleep during our stay so it didn't really serve it's purpose for us. I'm surprised at the high score of the apartment as we've stayed in many, many places with lower scores than this one that are a lot better. But it's ok, the owner was nice, check in was easy, it had everything you need in terms of appliances and we absolutely loved Madrid and did have a great trip.
