Town: South Chard is a small village resting a couple of miles from the bustling parent town of Chard, in the picturesque setting of South Somerset. It has a pub/restaurant and a convenience store for your immediate amenities, whilst Chard provides a larger choice to suit all preferences. Close to the border of Devon, a short drive will bring you towards the Devonshire market town of Axminster which perches between the Blackdown Hills AONB and the East Devon AONB. Featuring a wealth of history at the Axminster Heritage Museum found in Thomas Whitby's house, whilst also benefitting from its close proximity to a wide-range of trails for walking, hiking and cycling particularly at Over the Hill to Holditch with your furry companion by your side. South Chard is an excellent choice for a remote break to this wonderful Somerset location.
