Palazzo Ottavia - La Maison D'art Collection

Excellent location, nice and spacious, great view from the windows. A small but great bar right at the entrance with wonderful service and good coffee. Nearby fabulous restaurants and bakeries. Everything is pretty much walking distance. A real delight. We had to store our luggage after checking out and that was also no problem a short taxi ride away.

I should have got the codes at 3pm while I was on the road yet until I've settled the tourist tax I did not get the code. The tourist tax wax a fraction of the bill that I payed upon reservation. I do understand the concern but still it felt strange.

The location is absolutely perfect, as well as the general space in the apartment.

The air conditioning was the most terrible I have ever used. Given that the apartment is on the top floor and that Rome is very hot in the summer, it was impossible to sleep with the air conditioning off. When it was on it made the most horrible noises, very loud, even if it was on sleep and quiet mode. The hot water takes a very long time to reach the showers and is not stable. The pillows are extremely uncomfortable and there is a pee smell or moisture smell in the small bedroom. Also, carrying luggage on the narrow staircase was challenging.
