A really nice, comfortable and clean homestay experience.

I paid a bit more because it was the August bank holiday weekend so although rather pricey (peak time of year), it was a very pleasant stay.

As suitable for solo travellers as couples or families, Henge house is a delightful place to stay.
John has a friendly and easy-going manner, which made me feel very welcome. My travel plans were such that I requested to book the accommodation with short notice. John responded straight away and I feel extremely lucky that I had such a lovely room. John was accommodating and understanding. Not only allowing me to put my small motorbike, up alongside the house, behind a locked gate but helping me to put it there. I had the pleasure of meeting John's sons when they visited, they were well mannered and engaging, introducing their respective guinea pigs to me. Looking back I actually felt like a family friend, every bit as much as a guest in John's home and it was a real pleasure to see and hear John interacting with his Sons. The bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and patio / garden area are all spacious, spotlessly clean and finished to an extremely high standard. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again and I would thoroughly recommend it to others.
