I stayed here 2 nights eother end of doing the Kaiserkrone hike. I found the staff very friendly amd helpful. The accommodation is a good standard, the terrace has lovely views along a valley back towards Kufstein. Food was very good as well

Fantastic breakfast! Demanding walk if you are out of shape!

The breakfast offering were incredible! the best breakfast in a mountain hotel I have experienced, everything from sweet to salty, Nutella to caviar and prosecco, homemade breads, jams, juices, multiple kind of yoghurt, cereal, meze, cheeses, very very impressive. Would stay there again just for the breakfast.

It is NOT a 30 minute walk from Kufstein. It is a 30 minute walk from the CITY LIMITS of Kufstein. The actual walk from the Kufstein Central Train station it is an 1 hour and 15 minute walk! The 30-35 min walk from the city limits of Kufstein starts at the Kaiserbach/Sparchenbach river with the Kaisersteig, a series of switchback staircases that climb about 200 meters vertically in about that distance horizontally. It can be a very tiring hike with full pack. You could also take bus #2 from the train station to busstop Kaisertal and save yourself a half-hour walk through the city.

Schade wegen dem Frühstück

Unterkunft und Zimmer waren gut, altes Gebäude schön hergerichtet. Mehrere Balkone standen zur Verfügung mit Blick in alle Himmelsrichtungen und spektakulärer Sonnenuntergang. Die Matratzen und Kopfkissen waren für mich perfekt! (Nicht so weich)

Ich hatte den falschen Haustür-Schlüssel und stand dann erstmal eine gute halbe Stunde draußen, bis mich ein anderer Gast eingelassen hatte. Ich wollte eigentlich jemanden suchen, um zu fragen, wann es Frühstück gibt. Es war absolut kein Personal da. Das Frühstück selbst war katastrophal. ALLES stand am Vortag bereits am Buffet, wo die Sonne darauf schien. Mehr muss man dazu nicht sagen. Verzweifelt bedienten sich andere Gäste dann am "Buffet". Später entdeckten Gäste, dass man sich den Kaffee hinter (!!) der Rezeption selber holen musste. Ein Zettel dazu lag auf dem Tresen, wenn man so eine Info überhaupt sucht. Dienstag und Mittwoch ist Ruhetag, vielleicht hängt das mit dem Frühstück zusammen. Dann soll man aber kein Frühstück anbieten. Das war das allerschlechteste Frühstück, was ich je in meinem Leben erlebt habe. Außerdem: Bedienung am Abend (Restaurant) uninteressiert, man hatte immer das Gefühl, man wurde nur geduldet. Gemeinschaftsdusche: kein ordentlicher Vorhang, er hing nur an einer Öse, war also nicht zweckgemäß. Es gab nur Badetücher. Im Zimmer aufhängen war schwierig, da der Handtuchhalter mal festgeschraubt werden müsste. Da ich gleich nach dem Frühstück abreisen wollte, musste ich jedoch warten, bis dann endlich mal jmd kam, um die Rechnung zu begleichen.

Leider hatten wir etwas Pech in unserer zweiten Nacht. Es wurde dort ein JGA gefeiert und dementsprechend laut war es. Nach einer anstrengenden Wanderung wollten wir einen entspannten Abend und eine ruhige Nacht verbringen. Leider gingen die letzten Gäste erst 3.30 Uhr ins Bett. Ich finde es etwas schade, dass vom Wirt solche Veranstaltungen dort geduldet werden, da doch Alles sehr offen und hellhörig ist.

Einige Gäste (!) lesen anscheinend die Beschreibung nicht oder glauben nicht, dass man wirklich nur zu Fuß zu dieser Unterkunft kommt. Und fangen dann Diskussionen über das Gepäck an und ob sie nicht doch irgendwie mit dem Auto kommen können. Deshalb nochmal deutlich: Man kommt nur mit einem 30 min Fußmarsch inkl. einiger Treppenstufen zu dieser Unterkunft! Gepäck muss getragen werden, es empfiehlt sich also Rucksack, maximal Tasche und keine Koffer!
