Wildeberg Dam House Cottage

The privacy and Mountain View’s. The bottle of wine with the cottage on the label was a lovely touch!

The ventilation for the outside braai wasnt good everything smelled like smoke and it was difficult to sit and enjoy the area while my husband was braaing as the smoke was too much for me to handle. Suggestion to extend the chimney. This prevented us from trying out the inside fireplace as we were concerned it would be the same situation inside. A hot tub would really round off the property as well.

Friendly check-in process. Comfortable bed. Bathroom. View. Quiet location. Bottle of wine.

Not particularly cozy. Inside fireplace was not in use. No gas for the heater on 1st night. Suggestion: free full wine tasting for guests. Automatic wine club members if you stay for more than 2 nights?

Recently stayed 5 nights at the Dam House Cottage. From pre arrival to checkout, Stian was a fantastic host. Always reachable, offered great suggestions for local dining and just a pleasure to meet. The cottage is well stocked and very clean. The views from both the front and back are beautiful, even with the recent fires. I am sure after recovery it will be stunning. The location is perfect, just far enough outside of town to feel private but only a few minutes drive to all the activities. Highly recommend and would definitely return someday.
