Stony Brook Cottages

The location was great! Had all the amenities one would need for a comfortable stay.

The construction from the neighbouring farm was noisy and unpleasant. While the cottage was clean in the main, there were some attention to detail things that could be improved upon: 1. The light fittings were filled within insects and hadn’t been removed or cleaned in a while 2. The towels are tired and the colour faded. 3. The gas stove was not in good working order. We struggled to get it lit and used almost an entire box of matches. The lighter provided didn’t always provide a spark. 4. The tea canisters (inside) need a clean. Lots of tea residue. The most dissatisfying aspect was the poor WiFi. My husband needed to work for a few hours over the weekend and he was not able to do so from the comfort of the cottage because the WiFi strength/speed was not adequate. Escaping to the winelands calls for switching off and enjoying the surroundings however the current work of work doesn’t always allow, inadequate wifi connection made it quite stressful.

Very good cottages, well equipped! Very friendly host and good communication!

The fresh air

Id be lying if I said anything here

Absolutely exceeded our expectations! The property was beautiful, comfortable, and even better than we expected from the photos. Everything was thoughtfully provided, and we had a wonderful stay. The starts in the sky at night and the beautiful morning sounds and views of the mountains. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it!
