Authentic and Charming French-inspired Cottage

Loved the location. The oak trees in front of the cottage and the expansive grounds made for a really peaceful and enchanting stay, Thank you!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. The charing cottage is tucked behind the landmark Huguenot Monument but close to the centre of town. Felt so peaceful, safe and just a charming beautifully renovated cottage. Host Roy was super helpfull The chickens were a lovely touch, and fresh eggs in the morning were a bonus.

Not being able to stay longer

Location. Quaintness. Artistic content.

Draughty. Cold as couldn’t locate aircon remote. Fire helped. Needs more work on kitchen setup - dishcloth, tea towel etc It was a really cold, very windy wet night. No contact from owner. Mr Friday responded when I said we’d checked in.

We had a great experience staying at this cottage! It is freshly updated with high-end finishes, but the unique antique accents really gave it a true French countryside feel! It is central, yet feels very exclusive & only a 5 minute walk to town. What we especially enjoyed was the surprise of finding eggs for breakfast from the chickens on the property which made it feel like a genuine country escape. If you're looking for a place with exceptional views in a very quiet, but central part of Franschhoek, then we would highly recommend this spot!
