Great location, perfect for Beamish. Nice quiet area, lovely clean and comfortable home. Corner shop very close by. Nice, comfortable settees and beds. Microwave, oven, and plenty of utensils. Good sized TV and reliable free WiFi. Owner tried his best to help with any questions and was quick to respond.
We unfortunately didn’t have any hot water due to a boiler problem but the owner responded quickly and although the problem couldn’t be rectified during our stay, we received a partial refund. I would have found a dining table, even a fold up one, useful (we improvised by using baking trays as trays to eat off in the living room). Could have done with some more teaspoons (we only found one).

This is a spacious property, located perfectly for our needs. It has an off road parking space.
Ample seating in the living room.

Good location and parking facilities, good communication from owners.
Could do with a bit of a refresh and a more thorough clean. Could be improved with net curtains for added privacy, a coffee table in the centre of the living room and an extra side table in the main bedroom.

Nice touches leaving milk and biscuits.
It wasn't not particularly clean, the pillows are likely years old 😬 thankfully I was only out of my house for some work being done. So was able to go back and get my own pillows. Some surfaces were not wiped down. Hairs in places. Downstairs carpet in living room, needs a proper carpet clean. I stayed out of there after first night.
Bed had marks on it.
Owner or someone who works for them had to come fix the heating while my stuff was in the house but I wasn't which made me a bit uncomfortable but too cold to not have heat. Has asked me to leave a review for a female but I only spoke to a male?
I don't like leaving bad reviews for people making a living but on the whole the place needs a deep clean and new bedding/pillows etc.
Someone came to fix the roof, but owner said he had no idea who that was. The guy knew tenants stayed in the house though as asked if I was the owner or just staying atm.
