All the amenities were brilliant, the beds were so comfy

The beds were comfortable and kitchen facilities were good. Area is quiet and neighbours are friendly. Convenient location, there’s a shop within walking distance and larger shops only a short drive away.

The front yard is in need of some cleaning up. There was quite a bit of rubbish and large weeds in the yard. The bins out the back were overflowing and looked very unsightly. It lacked some amenities such as a hairdryer, iron and for a four night stay we only had one towel per person provided. Thankfully there was a washing machine/dryer in the property but it did take quite a long time to dry the towels. The curtains in the single room did fit the full length of the window so let a lot of light in. The address provided on the booking is incorrect and it did take us quite a while to find the property.

The beds are exceptionally comfortable, lots of room for people in our party and quality furniture. It was fully stocked with good utensils, crockery and pans. Good sized fridge freezer. We used it as a base for 3 days around a family wedding at South Causey inn, and was very affordable and around £7 in an Uber away. Lots of shops nearby too.

The cooker tripped on first attempt to use so cooked on the hob instead. The house has obviously been refurbed by someone learning new skills. Not great finishing's but a good effort. The front and back gardens are desperate for some TLC. Bins overflowing at the back and front was covered in weeds. The street its on is a bit rough but the neighbours were friendly and it was quiet.

The location was excellent and really comfortable beds friendly neighbours, combination boiler

• It seems like nothing in the house has been fitted by a professional. • The shower panels and shower itself are unfinished and incorrectly installed, some nailed to the wall??which is causing leaks into the downstairs area. Also, the bathroom light isn’t IP-rated for a wet environment. • Most of the doors don't close properly because the catches don't align. This is particularly frustrating with two young children, as it’s difficult to keep them safely contained upstairs when doors won't shut properly. • The kitchen appears to have been installed by someone without proper experience — similar to the rest of the work in the house. The sink leaks. • I had to repair the thermostat and re-pair it to the boiler, as it was only heating for an hour at a time. Also, the boiler itself leaks. • The TV has Netflix and other streaming services, but it's still logged into a previous guest's account, so it keeps asking for a password. There’s no aerial, so there’s no live TV — only streaming, which might not suit everyone. Also, the TV was plugged into a 40m rolled-up extension cable, which isn’t safe. • There are lots of other general issues around the property: architrave cut too short and filled badly, skirting boards and edging done poorly — it all just feels unfinished and bodged together. I'm not trying to be negative — I just expected a bit better from previous reviews, and thought it was important to let you know so improvements can be made.
