The hotel and room are very basic, could do with a make over but for the price and location it was perfect for me and my friend who were going to a gig at p&j live. Its no frills and perfect for a place to sleep for the night.

The bed frame had some interesting stains on it but the sheets and bedding seemed fine.

Christmas closing of food joints in the city, but the local fish shop was open, a legend & lifesaver - highly recommended. Threw in an excellent haka too. Some of the guests who showed up late in the piece who broke a fire exit door, and I'm pretty sure I woke up to the smell of weed...if you must folks, go outside.

Nothing. We didn't end up staying and we're still trying to get a refund.

We didn't end up staying as the place was so dirty. Our shower door has been vandalised by the previous tenants. The standard was not to Booking.com standard. It was a huge disappointment. The mattresses were so thin or done, you hit the base of the bed. The window wouldn't close fully. The room was freezing and there was no radiator or heating. We had 4 kids and 2 adults and booked 2 rooms. Our rooms were no way near each other. We didn't wait to see the second room. We left and said we'd be requesting a refund which we are still struggling to get. Can we get a refund please?

Handy location for a one night stop.

Location is good city centre. Room was quiet. Bedding and towels were spotlessly clean. However room is well used and could do with a refurb. But for a one night stay after a night out it was fine. Parking was also available at an additional cost which was handy.

Property is a bit run down and could defo do with a refurb. It was fine for me but not somewhere I would take my wife.

Double booked no reception staff terrible experience :(

Arrived at hotel no body on reception called the number on desk took ages to get through then 30 minites later receptionist arrived checked in to room left my car keys in room along with my reading glasses and credit card then went out for dinner arrived back to my room after midnight opened the door to my surprise another gest was in my room 😞 went back to reception.... nobody there called several times 45 minites later receptionists came took him over 30 minites to allocate another room in another building terrible treatment for any guest this has never happened in any other hotel very very bad service 😞

Awful. I was booked for 3 nights, but only stayed for one and then left to go to another hotel.

The person on reception was friendly and helpful, but that was the only good point. I changed rooms as the first one smelt bad, the 2nd room was better, but not much. The TV signal did not work, there was a kettle, but no cups or tea/coffee. The chap on reception gave me a cup to use when I asked. He said they had had a lot of complaints about this. The decor was shabby and the general state of the place is run down.

Everything could have been better! Except the staff, they were friendly.

Very poor quality hotel but was very cheap.

Carpets were filthy through the hotel. Room stank of ?stale tobacco. Room had mismatched horrible furniture. Room had a kettle but nothing else.....what is the point? Hairs all over the bath and plug was clogged eith hair. Light sockets were filthy - I cleaned them myself as I couldn't touch them otherwise.

The room was not clean, there was food on the floor and down the side of the bed. The room had a bad smell, unclean mirrors, windows and tv screens. The toilet was recently used, unflushed and uncleaned.

Nothing, there was not a single benefit to staying at this hotel

Everything, it was simply disgusting. From the interior of the hotel to the cleanliness of the room. There was clear mould growing in the bathroom I was given and the reception didn’t do a thing. The walls are paper thin, for the two days I was there people were drinking and smoking on the doorstep with litter all over the place. I was advised from a police officer they house homeless in the same hotel so it would absolutely explain the smells the condition and cleanliness

Awful.

The property was in a good location.

The corridor I was situated is smelt the worst smell, the stench was so profound it turned my stomach, it then started to seep into the room. I had to check out and go home that evening, there’s no way I would have slept with he smell. When I told the receptionist they just said ok. Te bed was very uncomfortable and hard, the was crumbs all over te floor and a bag of dirty linen outside my room. I have never left a negative review before.

Great location at a reasonable price

Fantastic location. Hotel needs refurbished, but otherwise okay. Really good sized rooms and have everything you would need for a short stay. Really good WiFi signal, but dropped out occasionally, and needed to sign back in each time. I would probably stay there again if visiting the area. Reasonable cost. Everywhere else is so expensive for one person.

Beds weren't the comfiest. There was a huge crack in the wash-hand basin. Needing to sign back into WiFi every time was a pain.

Poor Experience at Highland Hotel, Aberdeen - Unhygienic and Uncomfortable Our group of four had a deeply disappointing stay at the Highland Hotel🫡 in Aberdeen. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, causing back pain and preventing restful sleep. The bedroom suffered from poor air circulation, making it stifling. The shower was inadequate, and the washroom lacked basic amenities like toothpaste and sufficient water supply. Most concerning were the substandard hygiene conditions, which further diminished our experience. All Night Main door or Don’t know Beep sound Whole night 😭😭 Can’t explain more 🙏Overall, this hotel fell far short of acceptable standards, and we cannot recommend it until significant improvements are made.

Where do I begin. The rooms look nothing like the photos. Our room was horrible and not clean. The shower had no hot water and was literally a dribble. The staff were uninterested in my complaints and did nothing to assist. I booked for 3 night but left after the first night.

Dirty bathroom & toilet, low sealing (room 139 ),leaking window and wall ( it was a rainy night) very loud neighbours next door ( room 123) .And the most important thing is the breakfast situation, the continental breakfast is cereal and tost with jam, and everything else is paid extra but there is no information about it before you actually start eating.

The accommodations were satisfactory, aligning with our expectations and inclusive of amenities such as television with Netflix access and an ironing board and iron, No further provisions were necessary. Our overnight stay was ideally situated near His Majesty's Theatre. If seeking affordable, comfortable lodging with courteous staff, this location is highly recommended.

The location was good. No tv for two days, no WiFi, uncomfortable sleep, not full breakfast the second morning

The sheets were clean

No Tv, said they would send handy man, never appeared over two nights. The carpets were dirty and not hoovered for a long time. The mattress was very uncomfortable with springs making noise when you turned over. Supposed to have super fast WiFi but couldn’t even connect. Hardly saw any staff.
