Very good stay ideal location

Location was brilliant for shopping & eating out. Close to everything u could need or want. Room good could do with a refresh but had a fridge, on-suite, tv & coffee. Bed comfy & cleaned every other day with bedding & towels. Full kitchen you could use. Easy access to hospital

Good hotel for a tight budget

The room was perfectly warm for the time of year (December), and I appreciated having a microwave and a fridge to myself. Also, when there was some confusion about where the key locks were, my call to the hotel staff was answered quickly.

The wall between my room and the one next to it was quite thin, so I was kept awake for a while by my neighbour repeatedly opening and closing their door for some reason...

Basic needs eg: microwave, fridge, kettle and hair dryer + iron outside are provided.

Wet carpet and smell of cleaning stuff (carpet dried and smell disappeared the next day) and the noise (banging of door) from other guest next to my room.

It was worth every penny!

It was more than what I could ask for! It was completely provided with all necessary appliances like microwave, fridge, iron board, iron, hair dryer, TV, and electric kettle! The most amazing part was the kitchen!

You can hear creaking noise when someone is walking, but it wasn’t that bad.

The rooms downstairs weren't as comfortable as the rooms upstairs for the same price paid. I stayed in separate rooms upstairs and downstairs respectively on different occasions.

Would recommend & return

Check-in - Received info before I arrived. I was met by staff who let me in a little earlier as it was raining. I was also upgraded for free to a double room. Thank you! Room (2) - with ensuite, microwave, kettle, mini fridge/freezer, plates, cutlery, mugs, TV, extra blanket, toiletries, towels, etc. Shower pressure and adjustable temperature very good. Location - Walkable to both bus & rail station. Close to city centre, shopping, harbour & sites of interest. Shared Kitchen - fully equipped with laundry facilities. WiFi - Very Good. Room & communal areas very clean.

Nothing, it had everything I could need. Even better than some chain hotels I've stayed in. Would recommend & return.

Very central room compact and bijou. Reasonably quiet. Could open the window which was guid. Ensuite shower was clean.

Example of Aberdeen's cost/quality situation

Very simple check-in. Clean room and facilities. Fridge, complimentary tea and coffee, microwave, big wardrobe with shoe shelves and plenty of other storage. Really fast Wi-Fi, around 500 Mbit/second.

The stairs at the entrance are not luggage-friendly. The furniture and the overall interior are old and tired: squeaky floors, carpets, a lamp with a malfunctioning wire that required adjustment, etc. Overall, I'm just surprised Aberdeen is that expensive, so this is what you typically get for 60 per night. Good to know.

Not sure I’d recommend to a pal unless it was a guy and if I go back I’ll bring another towel and some tea and coffee

It was old and tatty but seemed clean … the bathroom while small was clean and the shower was ok but slippery and leaked all over the floor

The room I had was at the top so it was very warm … the shared kitchen area was a washroom when I tried to use it. Someone else had to help me get into the lockbox and you could tell they were geared up for men …. 1 (torn and yellow) towel in the bathroom?!?!? Only 1 tea bag and two coffee sachets for two nights?!?

Great location, feels very safe and secure.

Great location, close to train station but in a quiet area. Room on 1st floor was comfortable . Felt very secure with front door code and also key box for room key access. Also cctv in operation which was reassuring.

My stay was OK.

The floor of the bathroom for room 9 stinks and needs to be replaced. It's old and awful. Also, the underside of the wc seat was not cleaned, as there were droplets of urine left uncleaned. The cleaner must be cautioned.

Decent; no fuss

Location, no staff to bother you, just collect keys and get on, instructions can be a bit tricky, but not rocket science, the room was simple, clean, neat, and got all facilities including a kettle and a microwave and a shared kitchen, so all good here. The bathroom is of a decent size, but both the sink and the standing shower are so tiny, even for a skinny guy like me! Hot water can take 2-3 minutes to start coming and it can be a bit frustrating. Otherwise, good stay and clean place. Wouldn’t mind visiting again.

As said, shower is very tiny, hot water takes ages, sink is very small.

I liked the fact you had codes for yer door and could come and go as you please. and brilliant location which is yards from union street.

place very tired and run down, awoken by arguing and shouting from other guests in early morning outside our room. not enough milk for making tea or coffee. overall if you want a place just to put you're head down,then it's good enough. but if you're looking for something quiet adequate and above standard then this is a no no !!!

It was good experience to stay at Terra Nova guest room

One concern is about Bathroom improvement, the sink tap separately is not good , recommended to be placed instead of separate tap for Cold and Hot water. One more thing one wiper rubber should be placed in bathroom, electric cattle should be placed Glass not plastic
