Very welcoming staff. Comfortable bed and has sink in room which is very handy. They provide lots of towels, a face towel, shampoo conditioner and tea/coffee. Great location and central in town

A very cosy room in the perfect location.

Host was very friendly and welcoming. Recommending the best places to eat and drink. The room was absolutely spotless - everything you could’ve asked for. Shower was a bonus too! Will defiantly stay again.

Very handy for the train station and the main attractions. Friendly and welcoming . We visited the Art Gallery, Maritime Museum, Provost Skene's House, harbour and St Machars Cathedral. We would recommend Glenhouse on the corner and Chaopraya Thai on the main street for eating. Tea and coffee in room, which was nice and clean.

Simple and friendly accommodation that works for a short stay

Friendly welcome and was able to drop my bag off early. Clean even in the shared bathroom/toilet. Basic and cheap accommodation that suited me for the last night of my Scotland trip. Sink in the room was helpful. Tea and coffee in room plus shower gel and towels. Tv with lots of channels. Centrally located on a historical street.

The stairs! I was at the top but luckily the host helped me with my suitcase. The window didn’t open, if it opened it would really help the room to not feel so cramped.

NIGHTMARE/DISTRESSING/HORRIBLE

There was a Room which was just bigger than an Airplane toilet. The Beds were Old, Shaky, and with dead mattresses. No Personal bathroom, Shared bathroom, not Clean. The lighting was poor. The lift was not available, so we had to take the suitcases up a thin staircase to the second floor. There was no place to keep the suitcases, as the room was too small. No Iron was available. Carpets were smelly and old.

Comfortable and affordable stay in Aberdeen

The room was clean, and well prepared. It had a sink in the room, and a TV, and had a good amount of light from outside. The host was very friendly and could give recommendations about the area.

There aren't many bathrooms to share between the rooms.

Lovely place with lovely hosts!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Royal Crown Guest House. Very convenient location for going almost anywhere as it’s close to the station and a bus stop. My room was cozy, quiet and very clean. But overall the hosts were lovely people and I immediately felt comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Brilliant charming little quiet place thats close to all the action you need. Gentle staff.

Really charming place. Family run (but not overbearing), REALLY close to the centre but totally silent on that particular street (even on a sat night). Shared bathrooms were VERY clean and had its own sink in the bedroom. Staff went above and beyond to be of assistance - even though being musicians, we were possibly the last thing they wanted through their doors. Even let me use his garage! Really affordable for a stay in Aberdeen and quite charming.

Not sure if its accessible for wheelchairs etc - but thats not a criticism per say, thats the building!

Very firm mattress, which appears to be the norm these days, probably hard wearing, good for back sleepers, but not great if you are a side sleeper, personal opinion, wouldn't not choose because of this though

My requirements for accomodation are not great. Despite mentions above, I’d stay again. 🙂

Location is great, very close to Train Station ( once you learn the 5 minute walking route up one level via lift,across the indoor bridge to Station multi storey car park exit, cross with lights & walk the short 2 block lengths to the RCGH). Comfortable bed & quiet location after dark. Proprietor Scott pleasant & helpful. No breakfast provided & no access to kitchen use but plenty of alternative cafe/bakery/take away options nearby.

Ask Scott to show you how to control water flow & temperature on the Ensuite shower. Nice new, clean, & roomy but was the only shower “tap” ( out of 10 accomodations) that confused me in its operation. Result of which I had one cold, one hot & took 3rd day’s shower in the “Share Shower Room”. 😝 TV would not turn on, possibly due to battery replacement required in RC? Not a big deal as I don’t watch much TV travelling but good to catch up with News TV sometimes.

Very nice guest house - to recommend

Location was pretty good, next to the railway station. The owner was very friendly, the bed and room are very cumfortable, and the bathroom very clean.

The price is a bit high, but the lowest I foud in town for a similar room.
