Winkle Cottage

The location was perfect. There is a council car park next door which made parking and unpacking really smooth. Locals may give the impression that it's private parking but that's 100% not the case so don't be put off. You absolutely have everything you need for a fantastic home from home base which is close to all amenities. The garden is split level so perhaps not suitable for toddlers and very young children. It's also worth noting that the property sits on a steep road so would be a struggle for anyone with mobility issues. Contact with the hosts were spot on. We needed a plug to charge an electric toothbrush and the owners ordered and arranged next day delivery.

Honestly we couldn't have wished for anything more. From start to finish we had a fantastic holiday and will definitely return.

Breakfast was not provided, it was self-catering. The location was fairly good not far from the Harbour and eateries.

As an aging family with two pensioners on board, being on a hill was not ideal, but not insurmountable. . Parking was a lottery with it being on street and first come first served basis, but we didn't have any difficulties.

This is the second time we have stayed here as a family. It is a home from home with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The wine was also appreciated! The property is ideally placed for walking into Weymouth.
