While the room was fabulous. There was a party going on in the hotel and it sounded like it was right above my bed, this would have been good to know prior to my stay or upon checking in. I had to go to work the following morning and it was not ideal to have had a very poor nights sleep

My daughter and I stayed at ‘Manchester Hall Hotel’ last night during our trip to Manchester markets and colleagues leaving party. Fantastic cosy hotel, reasonably priced, superb grade 2 listing building hotel steeped in history and with original features throughout, a former Masonic hall still used as such to this day, loved it. A fabulous, warm relaxed atmosphere, rooms were spotless, bed so comfy, great cozy decor and a fabulous breakfast with table service. Loved the Manchester Bee theme. Staff were very professional and saw to our needs, nothing too much trouble. Thank you Manchester Hall until next time! Highly recommended, the hotel is situated right in the centre with easy access to everywhere, effortlessly perfect.

After a lousy, grey, wet day in Manchester returning to the hotel to be welcomed by Jodie, the ray of human sunshine on the reception is just the tonic you need. So welcoming and must be the best craic in the city. Lovely, clean rooms, a great breakfast and excellent service from all of the staff will ensure I return next time I am in town.

What a novel way of using the basement of the building to provide 5 star quality rooms. Absolutely excellent. All the staff were very helpful, smart and friendly. The breakfast was of such quantity that for the very first time in all my hotel visits I was not able to leave clean plates!

Received a nice welcome from a young lady on arrival. She surprised us with an upgrade to a suite. Everything seemed great however we soon noticed a horrible smell coming from the bathroom. It smelt like there was a problem with the drains. It was really bad and actually woke me up in the middle of the night. The rooms are all in the basement as far as I can see. This means the rooms are quite dark with a lack of natural light. Bed was large and very comfy. Also liked the free standing bath. Breakfast was included, had a lovely fruit salad to start and then had eggs benedict. Enjoyed the filter coffee that was included. Would probably not stay again due to the room smell and lack of light.

Room was great. Very spacious, large TV for unwinding in the evening, and the freestanding bath in the room was a fantastic addition! Being basement level, you're pretty reliant on artificial light (of which there was enough) but you do get a very peaceful room. Great value and will look to stay here again when in Manchester.

Booked for my partner’s birthday as a surprise for her and 2 friends. She absolutely loved her stay. The room was amazing and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. To celebrate her birthday with her the hotel sent down a bottle of fizz for her to enjoy, which I thought was a lovely touch. The breakfast was gorgeous and the service was great but she says the beans are really spicy. Will definitely be returning n our next visit!

The service in the hotel wasn’t great. We had to call reception, whilst stood at reception, to get a member of staff to come over and welcome us. A bell to ring would improve this. The room was nice but the bed was that hardest I’ve ever slept on and it was SO HOT! We eventually found the fan in the cupboard which solved this but air con would definitely be an improvement. Breakfast wasn’t great and again, the service could have been improved on. And we were given a code for the car park but we couldn’t get it to work because we didn’t already have the app for NCP so that ended up costing £35! Wouldn’t return here as there are far better hotels very close by that are much better

When you walk through the door and are met with a big smile it sets an amazing tone. Jody on reception is a diamond and all of the staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little quirky but that just adds to the ambience. Will definitely be back on my next visit to Manchester.

Amazing staff, so welcoming, lovely room, how ever be careful when turning the lights on,?I pressed the switch which activated the radiator in the bathroom, omg the rooms get hot !!!! Quick, anyways that was my own fault. Great location for Deansgate, Spinningfields and the locks, would definitely stay there again, very dog friendly as well, which is always a bonus when I’m travelling with my Livvy ❤️

Amazing breakfast which was included in the price of hotel. Lovely quiet hotel in good location. Room was a little on the dark side and could have benefitted from a light near the mirror for dressing and makeup. it was also a little too warm but there was a fan in the room.

We have a lovely stay in the MH the staff were very friendly, the building is beautiful and they've done the bedrooms very nicely. We were worried about being in the basement and no air conditioning on a warm day. The temperature was brilliant very comfortable, the bath tub was it's a nice addition. The breakfast was included and this was wonderful, we wished we had spent more nights to enjoy all the options. Breakfast was beautifully cooked served in the very nice restaurant. The young lady was lovely taking care that everything was ok. Definitely we will go back again when visiting our son in Manchester.

The staff and room were great but there was quite alot of dust in clumps on the floor which wasn't great if bare foot. Breakfast was disappointing as bacon undercooked, random use of ciabattas on all options. Sausages, tomatoes and mushrooms were all we ate.

Just the loveliest stat from start to finish. Right from the moment we walked in the door the girl on reception was so warm and welcoming. Check-in was fast and we even got an upgrade. Room was quiet and relaxing perfect for us but no good if you like a view. Breakfast was relaxed, freshly prepared & huge, the granola, yogurt & fruit was delicious and the English breakfast was like Noah’s Ark and had two of everything and we didn’t need to eat again all day! It was so handy to park in multi storey car park 2 minutes walk away and in same building as Dishoom for a lovely late lunch. Perfect if your wanting to shop or are going to AO arena all in 15 minutes walk with bars along the way. Only small issue was the heat of the towel radiator.. it does give a warning that pipes are hot but my husband slipped coming out of the shower and got a very nasty burn on his bum 😱 so make sure you cover it with a towel for super safety. Will definitely be back and already recommended to our friends. Thank you all for a great wee mini break!

Hotel and staff amazing .. online check in via hotel.com terrible said will take payment on arrival . didnt took at checkin night before on a card wasnt planning on using.. called hotel they sorted it immediatley ... Darren the manager was spot on.. on arrival was upgraded .. room amazing location fabulous . staff all great... would defo stay again but not via hotel.com
