Cairoli Suite e Garage

Wij waren er tijdens de Olympische Winterspelen. De locatie is uitstekend. In het centrum van Milaan. Op loopafstand van de Dom, het Castello Cairoli en Olympische festiviteiten. Metro op minder dan 100 meter. Winkels en restaurants allemaal vlakbij. Appartement van alle gemakken voorzien. Behulpzame host. Goede garage voor auto onder het gebouw. Je moet wel extra betalen voor gebruik van de garage, € 30,- per nacht.

Moest vooraf buiten Booking.com nog apart betalen aan de host voor extra gezinsleden, garagegebruik, toeristenbelasting en borg. Borg wel snel en volledig teruggestort gekregen

There is a hidden small print that says you have to pay 500 euros deposit only using PayPal with the vendor. It’s not written anywhere else. It needs highlighting on the advertisement. We felt that demand was a surprise and completely unnecessary, when it’s done through Booking.com

The location is great: around the corner from Via Dante and Cairoli metro station, with plenty of trams as well. The castle and cathedral are at either end of Via Dante. It is an easy walk to the canal area. The apartment has several design features, 2 double bedrooms and a well appointed kitchen.

First of all, the location is excellent — right in the heart of the city and within walking distance to many key tourist attractions. That was the main reason I chose to book this place.

However, when we arrived, we found that although the apartment has two bedrooms as shown in the listing, only one bedroom was left open. The other was locked. There were four of us, and we wanted to use both rooms, just as shown in the photos. I was very confused at first — I didn’t know properties could do this. When I checked my reservation, I realized I had mistakenly selected only 2 guests. Eventually, I had to pay an extra fee directly to the host so they would unlock the second bedroom and allow us to use the space as advertised. Still, even if there were only two guests, I don’t think it’s fair to lock one bedroom and limit access without informing the guest in advance. It felt like we were being forced to share one room, even if we preferred to sleep separately. Aside from that, the room was clean overall, but there were a few issues. Some doors were damaged, both bathrooms couldn’t be locked, and the toilet seat in the main bathroom was already detached when we arrived. The host responded quickly via chat, but they wouldn’t accept phone calls, which made things slightly more difficult in urgent moments. Overall, the stay was manageable thanks to the location and cleanliness, but the condition of the room and lack of transparency about room access made the experience fall short of expectations. With a few improvements, this could be a much better stay.
