Mt Eden Kingsland At the heart of it all

Details shared by host prior to stay, very easy to follow for check in. Safe neighborhood, and spacious unit that is under the main house. Having accommodation with a full fridge/freezer was super handy after our visit to Costco's, along with the free parking was a nice bonus.

No details for checkout and no response from host so made assumptions on where to leave keys and rubbish, but can't fault the accommodation, would definitely stay again when visiting Auckland.

The apartment was lovely, clean, and really well decorated. We only stayed one night, which was a shame, as we would have liked to stay longer. The owners were very helpful with instructions on finding the apartment and were very welcoming. The apartment is a bus or train ride from the centre of Auckland, which we hadn't expected. But it was actually good to see the areas surrounding the city and stay in a more residential area.

It was spacious in a quiet location near to shops and restaurants and close to the airport. The shower and kitchen were nice

After reading the reviews, this was not what I expected. It didn’t look like the pictures of a fresh and modern unit. A lot of ware and tare on the furniture, stains and not so clean. There was a very unpleasant oder in the place and what bothers me the most is that they conveniently don’t meantion things like it is underneath the house of a family with children bouncing up and down. And I specifically asked if I could park next to the apartment so we could unload but it’s not the case. Yes you can park on the “driveway” but it’s up at the main house and you can barely open the doors of the car to get out! Then you have to haul all your heavy luggage down a gravel path. We’ve stayed in over 50 places the last months and they specifically showed with pictures and mentioned the situation (for instance: 2 flights of stairs or up a steep long driveway) so you know what you book and if it’s the right situation for you. Just be honest about it.
