I am 100% coming back and I think everyone who is visiting Koh Tao needs to stay here 😍

I spent 2 days here on my solo backpacking trip and it was absolutely magical! It is centrally located but still on the quiet side of the island. in my opinion it is absolutely perfect. The staff were incredibly amazing and I felt at home quickly.

Decent for money

The hosts were so nice! And the AC is on 24/7 which is uncommon on Koh tao. Door to room closes softly- a small thing but so important.

They could put soap at every sink. That's not so hard and it's basic hygiene. Showers were not super clean. Beds were super hard but in the end I slept ok.

I recommend! Nice dorms with black out curtains and comfortable bed. Showers are cleaned often. The staff is lovely and will do anything to help you. It’s walking distance to the beach and overall a great value for money

Best value price in Koh tao!

I had a wonderful stay at this Hostel in Koh tao! for a whole week this place just felt like home. very clean common areas and rooms in general. The breakfast was definitely one of the best I've had so far included with a couple of options upgradable for very few bahts. and nicely located in the south of the island with many shops available in walking distance aswell as the beach. But the best most definitely were the hosts Joe, Thu and Jesus. Incredibly helpful with any type of information needed, very kind and always trying to give the best experience to the guest. I truly happy with my long stay in such a place, I will definitely come back!

I take with me good memories from my stay in Chalok. The hostel is not too big, but it makes it easy to socialize in the common area. It is located in one of the zones with the best resorants of the island, according to what I found out later.

Disappointing stay

I felt confident coming here after looking at the reviews, however we were disappointed. None of the showers had enough pressure or hot water, and the beds / mattresses are so noisy that the slightest move from the person on the same bunk was enough to wake me. The staff however are incredibly sweet and I am sorry about the negative review

Really comfortable, great space for working, excellent staff, Joe was great. Location is superb, it's really peaceful and there's still loads of stuff within walking distance. Very nice, clean room, comfy bed. For Koh Tao the price is good.

Jesús was a legend. Such a nice, friendly and genuine person. Honestly, it's a shame he wasn't around more (because as the owner, he's busy with many things) because every time he was around the whole place lit up. Great atmosphere and super good place to get to know people. 12/10

Miss joy and Jesus go above and beyond to help guests, such a lovely place !

Lovely staff, Jesus and Miss joy are so helpful and help with all your needs wether that’s booking a trip or needing to leave baggage. We checked out at 11am and left bags , were allowed to use the showers etc until we left at 8pm. The people are lovely and we have made so many travelling friends.

Ms. Joy and Jesus, both were so hospitable and lovely. The most comfiest beds In any hostel I've ever slept over. 7 eleven and a currency exchange shop is nearby so as some very cool and aesthetic cafes and restaurants.

Melhor hostel em que já fiquei, de longe!

O staff do hostel é espetacular! Tanto o Jesus como o casal que o ajuda mostraram-se sempre disponíveis para me ajudar em tudo. Um dos dias choveu e emprestaram-me um raincoat, quando comprei uma melancia inteira fizeram questão de a cortar para mim, e em geral foram sempre excepcionalmente prestáveis. De resto o pequeno-almoço é muito bom , é um sítio pequeno e acolhedor, gerido por pessoas boas com o coração no sítio certo, a localização é excelente… Não tive absolutamente nenhum momento menos bom e recomendo 100%! Quando voltar a Koh Tao vou ficar no Chalok Hostel de certeza!

Hostel, gente, ambiente e instalaciones 10/10!

Muy buen hostel, pequeño pero acogedor. El staff muy simpático y siempre dispuesto a ayudar en todo lo que necesites. Las camas tienen cortinas, son cómodas. Tienes un pequeño armario en el que no necesitas candado, te dan la llave, además te dan una toalla y una manta para dormir. Por la mañana dejan café y té gratis, el dueño incluso me dio algunos días pastas muy ricas para desayunar! La ubicación muy buena, Shark Bay a 10 minutos caminando, con buenos restaurantes y lugares para alquilar una moto. Si vuelvo a Koh Tao sin duda me quedaré en este hostel de nuevo!💙

Hard bed en onveilig gevoel.

De locatie is top – om de hoek scoor je een heerlijke club sandwich en Freedom Beach ligt dichtbij. Maar daar houdt het wel een beetje op.

De “veiligheid” is een grapje: één sleutel paste op élk kluisje (handig als je van ruilen houdt) en de slaapkamer had niet eens een fatsoenlijke deur. Iedereen kon binnenwandelen, inclusief de lokale straatkatten die hun nachtliederen vol enthousiasme lieten horen. Slapen werd zo een uitdaging, ook omdat de deur niet op slot kon – o, wacht, er was geen deur. De douche leek meer op een schimmelproject waar slippers verboden waren (waarschijnlijk voor de thrill). En de receptionist? Die wist niet waar je kon kayakken – of iets anders eigenlijk en keek je schaapachtig aan. De sfeer met de kamergenoten was ook kil en vervelend. ’s Avonds is er in het laagseizoen weinig te beleven. Je loopt zeker 20 minuten om überhaupt iemand tegen te komen die geen kat is. En om 17.00 uur sloot de receptie de boel af – zonder ook maar een waterfles bij te vullen. Dorstig naar meer? Dan moet je zelf maar een bron zoeken. Al met al: als je van avontuur, schimmel, onveiligheid en stilte houdt – veel plezier. Anders zou ik zeggen: loop even dat extra blokje om.

Increíble hostel, La limpieza y el trato de los trabajadores fue muy respetuoso y detallista en todo momento. Jesús nos ayudó con muchos recomendaciones desde el momento en que llegamos. Al final tuvimos que extender nuestra estancia de lo bien que lo pasamos y la maravillosa gente que conocimos aquí

Les restos aux alentours sont agréables.

Lit pas confortable, rideau non occultant et chambre pas du tout insonorisé. On entend tout ce qui se passe dans le séjour, et la route principale. Le lit en hauteur est compliqué à monter et n’est pas adapté. Le casier est beaucoup trop petit pour des backpackers.

Estancia maravillosa!

Reservé para 4 noches en el hostel y al final me acabé quedando una semana. Muy confortable y muy buen ambiente junto con una gran atención y limpieza. Un lugar tranquilo dónde descansar y poder disfrutar de tus días en Koh Tao ✌🏾
