Sky Marina Suite Penthouse

I loved the location and the view. You’re in the middle of downtown Hull. Humber street is right there. Lots to do. Having secure private parking was a plus as was the lift for those heavy suitcases.

There was construction going on so we got off the lift and there were all these tables and chairs and bits of drainpipes there and a blocked off window. That was ok, I guess, but the lack of places to hang and store our clothes was a big issue as we were staying 7 days. I had to go out and buy hangers to hang our clothes. Don’t worry I left them hangs behind for the next guest. The espresso machine didn’t work either. They was a chair with a broken back, so we avoided siting on that. The place looked very stylish but it needed storage. So I wouldn’t recommend it for long stays but for shorter stays like 2-3 days it is amazing.

Great location with parking space included. Lovely bright decor and modern/contemporary design.

There was scaffolding in the car park area which made parking a bit of a challenge to get out but did it fortunately 😅. When we arrived upstairs to the landing there had been some form of fire damage that needed to be fixed and a lingering smell of smoke damage. Once in the apartment there is definite signs of wear and tear showing (we were there last year and it was a noticeable difference). One set of patio doors were broken so couldn’t be locked, one other set had a key snapped in the lock but could be locked with the other door. There was a lack of matching crockery and glass wear and there were only 2 teaspoons 😆. There is a great roof terrace area but the furniture was dirty and unusable, shame as it would have been lovely to sit in the sunshine and have a drink or two. If it had some love and attention it would be great again. Such a shame as we booked this property because of our stay last year and found it quite sad how it had deteriorated in a year.

Breakfast not available. Location very good. Parking on site just as we asked for. Added bonus of having the wraparound veranda. Beds really comfy.

After coming through kitchen french doors after being on veranda we had to remove shoes as they were very soggy from fake grass and no mats were down at either door. Window handle in bedroom with 4 poster wouldn't click in to lock it. Only one bin in the apartment hidden behind door. Disappointed to not find either tea/coffee/milk pots/biscuits tray on arrival. Also no welcome pack with details of how to work facilities ie-oven/tv etc, or what's on in the vicinity. Car park we couldn't park in the bay we were told to as there was a car there already.
