Fable Cottage Luxurious Stay

Great location. Easily walkable to the centre of Bakewell and was very convenient to have a parking place. The lounge diner is an excellent size and the kitchen was well equipped and modern. The beds were very comfortable.

This is obviously a design of the house so not a criticism but there is one bathroom which is downstairs. The staircase is relatively steep, so just a consideration for young/old families.

Near to town centre, lovely & comfortable. Very clean. Little sun room nice addition.

The sheets weren’t cotton. Stairs were a bit dodgy , need to be careful. Steep hill from town so could be difficult to walk from town for some people.

Great beds, comfortable lounge area with great TV. Excellent kitchen with all you need. Beautiful outside Terrace. All the negative reviews have been dealt with e.g. tea and coffee provided. Shower gel in bathroom etc etc. I wasn’t inconvenienced at all. Perfect day.

The location was good. Property was well furnished and clean.

There were safety issues with the stairs and the inside porch lintel entrance. Jerry bashed his head twice coming into the house. There needs to be a sign reminding people of the low stone doorway. Also the return part of the stairs was not easy to navigate when coming down to use the bathroom at night. Kitchen was well equipped but as we weren’t using enough to need the dishwasher we needed a sponge/dishcloth. Some of the crockery was dirty along with the microwave turntable, this clearly hadn’t been checked. A roll of kitchen paper would have been useful too. We couldn’t use the T.V and on the last day discovered the manual with all the useful information under the lid of the pew/seat. This should have been left out in a very visible place like the parking permit!
