Casa San Girolamo Historic flat with cosy Terrace in Lucca's city Centre

The location of the accommodation was fabulous. It was a very quick walk to the central piazzas. There are restaurants on the same street. Easy access to the city walls for walking. The kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. The bedrooms comfortable. The stand out and the place I spent my time was the terrace; it was amazing and made me want to just be there all of the time. There is a washing machine and dishwasher. I was travelling solo, so I chose to use the lower bedroom with the single beds because the bathroom was big; however the upstairs master bedroom and ensuite looked good. There was even a small parents retreat. The accommodation included a lounge room and a good sized kitchen table. Highly recommend this accommodation.

Staff not very responsive and friendly. We booked for five people but there were not five beds ready when we arrived. As many Italian historical buildings heating is not working simply because windows and doors are not sealed

Fabulous location with a beautiful patio area.

Rather winded but stay with me. The host was rude & condescending. One of our party scanned the QR code on the welcome pack and the phone was immediately compromised. No access to travel docs, banking, contacts etc. Running around trying to find someone who spoke English, had the expertise required and was still open at 7pm was very challenging to say the least. It was a fraught few hours as you can imagine. Our calls and texts to the host went ignored for 2 days. He eventually made an appointment to meet with us on our day of departure. The attitude was simply disgraceful. Knowing we were leaving that morning he arrived 30mins late & mid discussion he proceeded to sit back and take a long phone call totally ignoring our presence. He dismissed our contention that the fault was his as it had never happened before. The IT expert who rectified the issue said that a virus has downloaded via the QR code We found his attitude very unprofessional. We believe he was just stringing us out until we were forced to leave due to time constraints. The distress caused by the phone incident was bad enough but his attitude really ruined our visit.
