Very comfortable. Exactly what we were looking for as a group of 5 ladies.

Only small things. The key box was very fiddly. No good if you have fingernails! An extra towel would’ve been handy for use of the hot tub. Property advertises complimentary toiletries but we didn’t have any - which didn’t matter as we brought our own. There was a soap dispenser in the bathroom but it was empty.

Lovely house, great local area and an easy walk into York.

Great house with real comfort and style. The shops and lively bar at the end of the road made it feel really friendly and authentic. The hot tub and cute outdoor bar in the yard were an added bonus. Just a few mins walk and you are in the heart of York. Really comfy beds and molton brown toiletries on each bed was a lovely touch!

Parking is tricky (on street Parking is tricky (on street permit parking for one car was provided) but the car drivers had to park a few mins away in the car park and the York car parks are very pricey. Not the owner's fault obviously just a word of warning if you are coming with a few cars.

A group of friends celebrating a 60th birthday had a fabulous time

The location, the number of beds/room configuration, the hot tub were all great. The kitchen utensils, glasses etc were good, some plastic glasses for the hot tub would have been a bonus.

The only shower was the en-suite in the attic bedroom, the main bathroom had a bath only with a shower attachment which wasn’t great. With 7 people to get ready another free standing shower in the main bathroom would have been better. The stairs to the attic were quite steep which was ok for us but people with mobility issues would struggle.

Great home to spend a hen weekend in York - central, cosy and homely

The house was clean throughout, and was perfect for my Hen Weekend. The location was amazing, 10 mins walk to the centre and close to train station. Really liked the little gift of toiletries on the beds on arrival. Hot tub was a great addition. The house was comfy and cozy, and got warm quickly. It was a great base to explore York, I would recommend this for family trips to York or hen weekends. The owners get back to you regarding queries very quickly and seem very friendly. Really appreciated the use of a dishwasher and washer, especially when there is a big group of you. The beds were very comfy. The area was very nice and safe with a nice precinct full of independent shops and bars closeby, busy road but wasn't loud in the house.

The kitchen was lacking utensils e.g. scissors and other utensils to cook meals. There was a small leak coming from under the bath (the pipe). The henry hoover smelt really bad so think it either needs replacing or fixing. We struggled with hot water tap even after reading instructions but thats no bother at all. There wasn't a plug where the vanity table is in top bedroom. 2 of the bedrooms could benefit from having a wardrobe where you can hang clothes up, also the bedrooms could benefit from some hooks on the doors for towels.

Lovely Centrally Located House

Great location, just outside the city walls but still easy walking distance from the station & town centre. Permit parking on the street across the road from the house so we could see our car. Large open plan downstairs living area Comfy beds Kitchen well stocked with crockery, cutlery & everything we needed There was a built in bar & a hot tub outside but we didn't have time to use either

One of the bathrooms had a shower over the bath with no curtain around it so we were too scared to use it in case we flooded the bathroom!

Perfect location, lots of space and a hot tub!

Great location easy to get to the train station and York centre. Easy check in instructions and parking was a bonus! We booked this for my best friend’s hen do and it had plenty of space for everyone and the hot tub was fantastic. Lots of little extras like slippers and toothbrushes left on the beds too! Host was amazing and helped us arrange our stay around the activities we booked too!

The weather was beautifully sunny when we stayed and the top room does get warm but there was also a fan provided!

Brilliant and well equipped house close to York centre.

Modern fittings and the hot tub was icing on the cake. Perfectly adequate for our needs. Location was brilliant. The Little extra toiletries was unexpected and large bath towels were certainly a great plus.

No problem for us but the steps to the front door and in the house would not suit someone who has a disability getting up stairs.

Family weekend in York, lovely accommodation so close to centre of York

The property was very clean, nicely styled. Great amenities. We were in York for a family wedding. The location was ideal and the layout perfect for a family travelling with grandparents. Nice and quiet neighbourhood but close walk to a lovely street with cafes and shops. Then a 10 minute walk into the city centre. We had a lovely stay and would definitely stay here again.

Great for group reunions

It's always a worry when you book a property on behalf of a group of friends, so I was very relieved to find the Haven to be an attractive, spacious and well appointed property which I would happily book again. The downstairs living area had plenty of space for our group of eight to chill. It was clean and freshly decorated. The only thing I would mention, and it wouldn't bother some groups were the stairs. One of our party has mobility issues and the stone steps leading up to the entrance are steep, as are the stairs to the attic floor where the biggest bedroom is. It might be worth mentioning this when advertising the property.

Excellent property for groups to stay near city centre.

Location was excellent, 10 minute walk into the city centre. Lounge and kitchen were a really good place to socialise. Outdoor bar and hot tub was an added bonus. Its great to have single beds in two of the bedrooms for groups. Property was clean and nicely decorated.
