Nice quiet location

Very quiet and out of the way, room exactly like pictures and very cosy, the owner is also very quick to reply to questions. I chose this place because of it being on a farm. I got to meet the cows and chickens and had a very good morning hello from the two lovely farm dogs. Will definitely stay here again if i ever go the the area again.

Everything needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely to wake up to the sound of house-martins swirling around outside and the rhythm of a working farm. Really peaceful nights sleep and in the current heatwave it’s a cool property. The best set of arrival instructions I’ve had at a property and accommodating on arrival times making a very relaxed visit when you have a long drive and the vagaries of traffic. There’s a lovely pub in the next village (Thurgarton-The Red Lion) with great staff and well priced great food too. I’d stay again. The river Trent is close by and the sailing club and gravel pit lakes (some of which are fishing lakes). I can see so many reasons to base yourself here.

Nothing really…there’s a slightly lumpy, bumpy track to the farm but it isn’t a problem absolutely no worse than the potholed metalled roads in the country.
