The Snug

I loved the location the cottage was in a beautiful place to vist. The snug was very clean beautiful little cottage to stay in myself and my wife loved this place

There was nothing at all that we did not like it was perfect.

The cottage was lovely, very clean and there was a nice welcome pack of bread, milk, butter etc.

We liked everything!

The Snug is a fitting name for this compact and bijou cottage. It was ideally situated for the purpose of our visit and provided everything we needed for short stay. It is tastefully furnished and well equipped. Access was simple, communication good and very close to all amenities. Generous supplies on arrival made settling in so welcoming. The information provided regarding the interior and local facilities are very handy, especially for those unfamiliar with the area. The description of the upper floor access is accurate, the room and access intriguing and a challenge. The shower is indeed impressive, towels are provided which is always a bonus. Locals are very friendly.

On a safety note, perhaps some anti slip tape on the upper floor steps. Recommend not to go up/down in socks. This property may not be totally suitable for 4. Bit of a squeeze, especially in the kitchen if eating indoors (bar stools for 2 only). This is only due to the compact nature of the property.

The property itself was lovely, with access to a wood burner and a full kitchen. The bed was comfy and the shower brilliant.

The last day of our trip and the morning of our departure we had no power at all which really put a dampener on our stay. The power cut wasn’t the fault of the owner or the managing company, however when I contacted them through booking.com I received no reply at all which soured an otherwise pleasant stay.
