We loved staying so close to everything in Gion. really easy to get around, the house was a great size for our group of 5. We particularly loved the floor heating and traditional bath.
This was no fault to the owners but there was a house being built directly across while we stayed. The walls of the place are very thin so it was very loud next door. We let the them know and they were quick to address this and talk with builders to help with the sound. Also this shouldn't be a problem once the house is done being built as the neighborhood is very quiet at night.
