Cozy home in close proximity to the volcano national park
Very homely with thoughtful messages and small welcome gifts, everything was there, lots of space, amazing kitchen, lovely porch, so close to the volcano! Can absolutely recommend this place. As the owner says, make sure you hit the supermarket on the way there as close by there is only a small local shop that stocks only bare necessities for crazy prices.

This is what we were hoping to find in the Volcano Village
Secluded, rainforest setting, quiet road, convenient to National Park (2 miles), well equipped and supplied with essential items.
We had no adverse conditions nor incidents. Everything was fine!

Rain Forest Getaway
Rain forest location was enchanting and the furnishings in the house really celebrated traditional Hawaii in a lovely way.
I was upset about the water. The property owner had placed little tags explaining how to use items, what to avoid etc everywhere but at the faucets in the bathrooms and the kitchen there was no warning that the tap water shouldn’t be drunk. The owners did provide bottled water but I realized this was a necessity rather than a nice feature until after I had drunk a glass of tap water. The water in the house is stored rainwater, I understand how that’s necessary but I think that should have been more clearly explained. Yes, the warning to not drink the water is there but it’s in a lengthy book that describes everything about the place. I believe the water situation should have been directly addressed. We have stayed in many places where we couldn’t use any tap water except for showering, I’m perfectly capable of exercising that caution but I need to know it’s necessary. I wasn’t expecting it in the United States.

Wonderful Volcano hideaway - highly recommend
Home was wonderful, great Hawaiian decor and furniture style, so so comfy (the beds especially, even the pull out extra beds were really comfy!) and immersed in nature with breathtaking star watching of Milky Way out the back garden. Lots of extras we loved like beauty products, beach equipment, Bluetooth speaker, chilled drinking water dispenser. Really well equipped kitchen and loads of room for us and our two teenage girls to have our own space. We felt really well accommodated.
