The host was kind and super responsive, which made things easier. The apartment is just a quick 2–3 minute stroll to the metro, and there's a Monoprix less than 5 minutes away for anything you need. The bedding was really comfortable. The living area is set up very nicely for 3 occupants. We also loved the fully stocked kitchen—it had everything from pots and pans to utensils, a large fridge, and even a microwave. The AC in the bedroom worked well.
There are definitely some areas that could be improved to make the stay more comfortable. For an 8-night stay, we were only given one set of sheets and towels, which wasn’t ideal. The living room clock didn’t work, and one of the windows had a noticeable crack that should probably be repaired. While the apartment looked clean at first glance, it was more of a surface-level clean—some dishes and silverware were still dirty and under the bed was quite dusty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while.
The AC in the bedroom worked well, but the unit in the living room didn’t cool the space nearly as effectively. The apartment is located in a very working-class area, which may not be ideal for everyone. We were approached and harassed for money a few times, and there were frequent police sirens at night, which made it difficult to relax or sleep soundly.
Another point worth mentioning is the long list of cleaning chores required before checkout. This was the first time I’ve ever received such extensive cleaning instructions at the end of a stay, and it definitely took away from the experience—especially on our final day. Unfortunately, it’s clear that not all guests follow through with these tasks, as we found ourselves cleaning up after previous occupants. I would strongly recommend hiring a professional cleaner instead of relying on guests. After all, most people are on vacation and don't want to spend their last day scrubbing and tidying up.
The blackout curtains helped somewhat, but with sunset so late (after 10pm), it remained quite bright in the evenings. Adding blinds or an additional window covering would help a lot. We were given 3 and a half toilet paper rolls for 8 days for 3 guests. There were no paper towels or napkins so we had to buy those too. Lastly, the bathroom is extremely small.
