In the heart of the Presqu'île, near the Terreaux district and La Martinière (Opera, City Hall, Old Lyon, etc.), very nice, completely renovated apartment in a listed building.
Close to all amenities and the Metro, ideally located in a hyper center and paradoxically extremely quiet, the apartment is located close to the banks of the Saône and its new banks.
Located on the 4th and last floor of the building with elevator, the apartment, crossing, consists of a bedroom with a Queen size bed 160 * 200, a living room with a fully equipped US kitchen (ceramic hob, microwave , fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer ...) and a corner sofa convertible into a 140 * 200 bed, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet.
Mobile air conditioning is available for hot summer weather
Completely renovated with quality materials, the accommodation combines functionality and design.

I had a great time here! Nice spacious apartment. It even had a window air conditioner unit which helped in the 37C heat.The only thing I’ll say is that the apartment isn’t fully accessible by elevator. The elevator takes you mostly there but then you still need to go up 5-6 steps. So I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who is very elderly or disabled.But for my girlfriend and I who are young and fit, there were no issues.Great apartment! Great host!

Great apartment in lovely part of Lyon. Kitchen and sitting room with comfortable sofa bed. Bedroom and bathroom also fine. Great to have air con as very hot in Lyon. Very close to the river and very nice bars and restaurants. Lyon is a lovely city - I wish I’d visited sooner!

I stayed 6 nights.Great location close to Place St PaulThere was a washer and dryer (single unit) which was the #1 reason I chose the apartment. Also the location.On 4th floor and you have to take your bags up a few steps to the apartment.The air conditioning is makeshift and you do need it in France in summer. There was a heat wave in Lyon with temperatures reaching 90F. It was a portable unit with a plastic extendable exhaust tube that snakes to the window. And you can only partially close the window.The A/C exhaust was broken when I came and could not be fixed till the next day. The towels were thin and really worn but they were clean. Only 2 small towels were given.There was no body wash provided. Even that took a day.The internet conked out after 3 days and was not fixed even by day 7 when I left. Credentials were provided to another connection point but signal was weak.On the whole somewhat overpriced for the experience.

The stay here was lovely! Such a short walk to the Fresque des Lyonnais and also close to the fine arts museum.The apartment was nice and clean and, as an American, I greatly appreciated to portable aircon. :)Franck gave great directions for check-in and check-out. He was very easy to reach.

Perfect small apartment for a stay with 2-3 people. Communication was great, the location is 30 min walk or less to nearly anything you’d hope to do in Vieux Lyon or the Presqu'île. Loved our stay and can’t wait to return to this beautiful city!

We stayed here for a week in February and enjoyed it quite a bit. It is in an excellent location, within a few minutes of walk to everything. The bed was very comfortable, it had a great shower and a spacious bathroom sink. Bedroom had good storage. Heating was easy to adjust. We would definitely consider staying again. There were a few minor issues that were not a major problem for us but others could find problematic so I will mention them here: It is in a very old building, so there are a few minor maintenance issues: the circuit breaker gives a slight buzzing noise and a few plugs are not well secured in the wall. The toilet vent pulls in outside food and smoke smell, but its door keeps the smell out of the apartment. The apartment is 5-6 steps circular steps above the elevator landing, which could be intimidating for some. We (in our 50s) carried luggages and a ski bag with no problem, but I may be more worried if I was going to come in seriously drunk or with mobility challenges. I think it would be helpful for the owner to add a photo of those stairs to the listing. Finally, the kitchen sponge was worn out and there was no shampoo. We had our own shampoo, but other travelers may appreciate a small one for the first night, just like the coffee in the welcome packet which was appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Nice large apartment with all the amenities a couple needs for a visit to Lyon. We spent 10 days, enjoying the Festival of Lights and visiting museums and other cultural sites in Lyon. The apartment is within walking distance for many things, and very convenient to buses for excursions throughout the city. A taxi from Lyon Part-Dieu was 20 Euros. There are good restaurants nearby, and markets for other needs.

The property was clean and in a fantastic neighborhood with everything walkable. Franck was the best host. He always responded promptly and very kindly. We loved our stay at this location and were sad to leave.

Stayed in this apartment for 3 months during the spring/summer of 2024. Fantastic location, quiet building, Franck was very helpful and responsive. I had everything I needed here. There was one downside that I hope does not eclipse the overall positiveness of my review. I don't consider this appartment to be feasible during the summer months. It is regularly in the 80's here in the summertime, and of course there is no AC (which is normal) but there are also no fans or screens on the windows. This apartment is on the top floor, and becomes as hot and stuffy as an attic during the summer. If you open the windows fpr any period of time you'll get eaten by mosquitos (although Lyon is not particularly buggy). So: September - May - 5 stars.

Really enjoyed this property, for the two of us. It accommodates 1 or 2 very well. I really appreciated the air conditioner, which was essential and makes this property unique. The check-in process was very easy and Franck responded quickly to all questions and to any assistance I needed from before the booking to during. I would definitely stay here again.

Walking distance from restaurants, markets, museums and old Lyon. Slept very well in good bed. Appartment would was due for little extra clean-up beyond regular maintenance: dusty windows, strings of dust from ceiling, we cleaned the AC filter ourselves.

We really enjoyed the stay in this apartment. It's spacious & quiet and in a great location with only a short walk directly across the river to Vieux Lyon. The closest metro is Hotel de Ville which is around a 6 minute walk and there are also plenty of buses close by. A very enjoyable stay in a fantastic location. Thank you Franck

Ideal for Lyon. Really enjoyed great for 2 maybe 4. All as discribed. There are a few old stone steps on spiral staircase fro 3rd to the flat. So perhaps if you have small kids or very frail travellers u may wish to reconsider. But we are 70 plus and had no trouble with the stairs with or without luggage. The area at first seems a bit run down but it's not. We wished we had taken a bit longer to explore as good shops, nice cafes and excellent restaurants are just roun the corner.

This flat is located in within walking distance to everything Lyon has to offer. It's also close to public transit if you're feeling a bit lazy. The apartment itself is equipped with a comfortable bed and the best shower I've had in France - plenty of hot water and a free flowing drain meant no navy showers on this trip! A first! Accessing the apartment was quick and easy and Franck was available via email if we needed anything. Would absolutely stay here again.

The apartment is in an old building a few minutes walk from the banks of the River Soane with a boulangerie and a small supermarket five minutes away. It is in easy walking distance to Vieux Lyon and other attractions. It has a stone spiral staircase. Fortunately, a lift operates to the third floor and there are nine steps to reach the fourth floor apartment. There is no handrail so they should be taken with care. The apartment is clean and simply furnished. There is a good shower with plenty of hot water and separate loo. The bedroom has a king sized comfy bed with good bedside lighting and plenty of storage. The kitchen/sitting/diner has a table with four chairs; a microwave (not used); a hob, fridge freezer , washing machine and dishwasher. We used the washing machine which was fine. The kitchen equipment was ok but a garlic press would have been nice. Overall this is a nice apartment though perhaps a bit of a squash for four people: absolutely fine for two as long as you take care with the final stairs. M Marcillac was prompt with any of our queries and his information regarding admission to the property was straightforward.

Franck's apartment was in a great location. Just a few steps out the door and you are at the river, restaurants, murals, and easy walk to markets and bakeries. Frank's instructions were easy to follow for accessing apartment. As mentioned in previous reviews the steps to the apartment are quite precarious. Make sure your agile. But don't let that stop you from staying here. Enjoyed the comfort and style as well!

We were never able to stay at this apartment because it was impossible to take our luggage up the final set of stairs to enter apartment.The stairs are smooth stone, steep and winding-with NO HANDRAIL.We hugged the wall going up and down because there was a drop of several floors off the other side.We are healthy, fit seniors--logging over 13,000 steps on 2out of our 3 days in Lyon.Our own home is turn of the century on several floors with many steps--ordinary steps are not a problem. We usually travel with just carry-on bags but this trip was almost 3 weeks long and 3 different climates.Even with just carry-ons I would not have attempted this stairway. This was my 30th trip to France and we have stayed in many apartments whose charm included old stairways but were not dangerous. Our rental car took us through the Burgundy wine country for a week with its excellent GPS and Internet but when we got to Lyon it kept taking us to an address on the other side of town.We called the owner and he gave us directions so we could locate the apartment.Then ha asked us to text instead of call.We were in the apartment about 30 minutes when we realized that it was not possible to get our luggage in and out of the apartment without help.We texted the owner to tell him it would be impossible to stay and requested a refund. He has refused to give us a refund. It would benefit all if the owner put pictures of the stairway from ALL angles(as I have done) on the Homeaway site so that guests could make their decisions. The apartment is perfect! Located 1 block from the waterfront (Saône river), a few blocks from the old town and main attractions in the beautiful city of Lyon (forget Paris!). The apartment is in the top floor of an old but in excellent shape building, with an elevator (you will have to climb a just a few stairs to reach the apartment's front door). The apartment is spacious, with plenty of natural light, extremely quiet, with a nice bathroom and plenty of hot water, a comfortable bed, a nice kitchen/eating area and a living room where you can relax after a day of exploring this amazing city. Definitely, this is an outstanding apartment to stay when you visit Lyon.

I knew from the description and reviews that this rental had everything I required. It was spacious and had a bedroom well separated from the living/kitchen area by a door. It was on the top floor, so there was no stomping around above us, and there was an elevator. Reviewers commented on the quiet, and the proximity to tourist sites -- all true. For other areas, we learned how to use the Metro, which we accessed from behind the Hotel de Ville -- a short walk. The bed was large, and the bedding was nice. There were heavy draperies that could make the apartment very dark. There was plenty of storage space for unpacking. I put my small suitcase in the wardrobe, but one could store large luggage in the main room under some shelving that hangs on the wall. The shower was wonderful, and the water was piping hot -- such a change from the usual cramped stall. There were heating units in all rooms that worked well. There was lots of good lighting. As others have noted, there was noise from the park for a few hours in the afternoon, but it stopped by dinner time. Also as noted, the few stairs from the elevator to the apartment door might be an obstacle if you had large, heavy luggage or had mobility issues. The stairs are stone, and the bottom one is awkward. That was no problem at all for us, and we are senior citizens. The little square near the apartment is very charming with fun restaurants. We couldn't get into some, but we had a great first meal at Entre Nous, and 2 elegant dinners at L'Archange and L'Atelier des Augustins. There's a wonderful market on both sides of the river, but the best food market is in Croix Rousse (accessed by the Metro). Franck could not meet us when we arrived, but he left explicit instructions that were easy to follow. He also emailed during our stay and stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. He also made us a taxi reservation for our departure. That was a relief since we did not have phones, and taxis were not always easy to find. The taxi that Franck ordered for us came right on time.

We thoroughly enjoyed this apartment in Lyon. It had one of the best couches we’ve sat on since we’ve been renting places (2015!). The decor is playfully eclectic but very functional. There was an air conditioner that we did not use as keeping the windows open early evening/night allowed the cool air to pour in. The bedroom had plenty of storage (need a couple more hangers for the wife, Franck!) and a very comfortable bed. We used the lift more than we would normally as the spiral stairs were a bit intimidating in this 400+ year old building. But that is also what gave it its charm. The lift ended at the 3rd floor so we did get a few spiral steps to our door! The location is great. A little noisy during the late afternoon into the evening with children playing on a playground but it was “fun noise” and didn’t last long. The grocery is an easy 10 minute walk and there are plenty of eating and drinking establishments nearby. The Old Lyon is about a 15-20 minute walk with great views along the way. We took advantage of the tram and metro after picking up a 3-day Lyon City Pass (transportation and museums free!) at the Tourist Information. We love to walk and did much of our exploration on foot. Franck is a terrific landlord, responding to our questions quickly and also addressing an issue with the dishwasher by coming in to figure things out. We would most definitely stay in this apartment again as being in Lyon one week was too short!
