A lovely and relaxing petite pied-a-terre. Property is looking a little tired in places, but nevertheless a cracking base. Helpful if you’ve hit the stairmaster in the gym before staying!

The property is in a beautiful location. It is very true to the listing with a comfortable bed and couch. We were surprised by the size. Check-in is made very easy with the host instructions.

The location of this property is amazing with regards to tourist attractions … 10-15 minutes walk to the Basilica and Roman Amphitheatre, and less then 10 minute walk to dozens of restaurants!!! Our only disappointment was that the sofa in the living was quite dirty; otherwise the apartment is perfect for visiting Lyon.

If you are under 30 years old and are in good physical shape you’ll be able to climb the steep and treacherous walkway to get to and from the apartment. After entering the double gated entrance and lock box key you'll be faced with 3 sets of stairs to get to the apartment. Inside is a table, four chairs, a couch and a queen mattress on a flat floor base. Old discolored towels you may not want to use, no bath soap or shampoo and 1/2 roll of toilet paper. To top it off a shower door that is not connected to the frame and must be strategically maneuvered to open and close. This was very unsettling. We were happy the morning we left. It was not a pleasant experience.

I had a great stay! The location is great—right in the heart of the city, close to everything. The place was clean, comfy, and had all the basics covered. The host was friendly and communicative. It was a perfect, cozy spot to come back to after exploring the city. Highly recommend!

I had a fantastic two weeks staying at this property to explore Lyon and the surrounding area during the Rugby World Cup. The apartment was clean, well appointed, and Laurent and his wife were very friendly and responsive. Vieux Lyon is easily accessible via several different stairways, the road, or the funicular.

I realize this is a business for Laurent and I hate writing this bad review but you need to understand the lack of quality of this rental. First, it is located in a totally filthy building with rat traps, month old piles of pigeon feces, no lighting in the hallways combined with steep flights of stairs of 24 and 19 steps. You come home from dinner and have to navigate your way up 3 floors thru uneven footing. And there is absolutely no access to food or drink on the hill where the apartment is located. You must walk up a very steep climb or walk down over 300 steps to access Vieux Lyon and then either climb back up those stairs or take the Fernicular to the top of the hill and then walk down a very steep hill. And if you have a car, parking is a significant challenge. The landlord is a very bad communicator and unresponsive to complaints. We brought to his attention the problem with lighting in the hallways even after one of us fell on the steep stairs in the dark and received no response. Finally, just about every morning of our stay starting at 8:00 am, demolition work was ongoing beneath us in the building that shook the floor and walls of the apartment for 3-4 hours. This property should NOT be on the VRBO market in its current condition or without full disclosure of the isolation of its location and challenge with accessing what Lyon offers.

The apartment is open and bright, overlooking a courtyard, and if one looks out the window to the right there is a spectacular view of Lyon. The sound of the birds in the courtyard was charming and relaxing. Laurent answered our questions promptly and provided a helpful video about how to access the apartment. We loved it and hope to return for a longer stay next year!

We loved staying here. It was a short walk to all the Old Town restaurants and patisseries and shops. The beautiful Fourvière Notre Dame with its beautiful view of Lyon was right up the street from us. Laurent gave us wonderful suggestions including dinner at Chez Grand-mère, the rooftop bar at Opera House, Rue Mercière (restaurant row), Halle Paul Bucose, the boat ride to Confluence, the Miniature Museum, and the exploration of the secret traboules. Laurent was extremely responsive, always responding to all our questions. A perfect place for a couple. We stayed here for a month and will return again!

The loft apartment was a comfortable and lovely perch above the business of Vieux Lyon. Really enjoyed the birds in the morning and being able to return to such a quiet place in the evening. It was a great location to see not only Vieux Lyon, but also Presqu’île and Gallo Roman Museum. You do need to be prepared for the walk up. We are 70 and in good shape so it was worth it and glad we did it. This would be my only caution.

We had a great stay in this charming studio apartment perched on the hill overlooking Old Town Lyon. The owner, Laurent, was very conscientious and accommodating. There are a lot of steps involved in getting into and out of the apartment and up and down the hill to restaurants and sights. But as long as your legs and heart are strong, we highly recommend staying here.

Nous avons passez un court séjour de 3 nuits au sein de cet appartement avec 2 amis. Situation géographique parfaite pour visiter Lyon, procédure d'arrivée et communication facile avec Laurent. Nous avons rencontré un soucis de télévision qui a été réglé dans l'heure suivante, très réactif rien à redire ! La seule petite remarque se place sur le coin cuisine, il manque tout de même quelques couverts et verres, bols (seulement 2 fourchettes alors que nous étions 3 !) ainsi que la propreté des ustensiles qui était quelque peu négligée mais rien de bien grave ! J'y retournerais avec plaisir !
