Amazing beach club, good alcohol, tasty cocktails, good pool, first beach line. Tasty food in restaurant.

Our sink was disgusting — it had a lot of sealant or something similar in it, and the room was very small, with the air conditioner having only one setting.

I highly recommend this hotel

We booked this hotel last minute on Booking after narrowly escaping a scam in the city center and what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be! The welcome was warm from the very first moment. We had a small issue in our room (a leak in the bathroom), but the team immediately found a solution, even though the hotel was fully booked. They even arranged for our room to be right next to our friends’, which we truly appreciated. A special mention goes to the restaurant staff. Our friends arrived very late, after the kitchen had already closed, yet the team kindly prepared sushi for them so they wouldn’t go to bed hungry after such a long trip. Tourism in Albania is developing quickly. Overall, not everything is perfect yet and there is still room for improvement. But we were genuinely happy to return to the hotel, which had everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves: pool, beach, sunbeds, DJ… the perfect atmosphere. A huge thank you to the entire team, especially the restaurant staff (our “foufou”), for their availability, professionalism, and good vibes, which made our stay so enjoyable from start to finish. I highly recommend the Grand Hotel Saranda!

There is room for improvement, to make it 1000% perfect. I would suggest to add more options for the « included » continental breakfast, like fresh local fruits, smoothies, fresh orange pressed Juice, Greek yogurt etc (you can order them at the bar).

Disappointing

Nice location, outside the hustle of the main town but not a far walk. Close to some lovely restaurants. The sun loungers and beach access was great. Breakfast had good options. Plenty of parking if you are hiring a car.

The hotel says it has sound proofing, the music outside is very loud and goes on until midnight and that can be heard inside the rooms. You can also hear everything happening and everyone talking in the corridor. It seemed like the hotel had been rushed to be finished as the quality and craftsmanship in our room just wasn’t up to scratch. The sink was disgusting and had corking/silicone all over it and the shower drain would flood after every shower. The functionality of the bathroom the door didn’t stay open. Outdoor facilities wise at the end of the day the pool had a gross disgusting film over it like it needed cleaning. During our stay the hotel had 2 power cuts the second one being at night time when we were in our room. We were stuck in pitch black and when asking staff they were very unhelpful. It took around 30 mins for it to come back on both times. My partner contacted the hotel prior our stay as we were going for my birthday and he tried to see if they could do anything like a small surprise for me on the day however they didn’t respond to him. Overall we had a really disappointing stay here, we were really looking forward to staying at a more upmarket hotel which is a shame as we spent extra money to stay at a 4 star hotel expecting quality we didn’t receive.

Pretty much everything. The staff were so friendly, the hotel is gorgeous we felt right at home from the minute we arrived. Everything we ate at the restaurant was divine, the private beach was such a great perk. We love love loved it

Great views and location, with very accommodating staff

The location was great with nice sea views, and just a short stroll to the main town. Really enjoyed the private access to the beach with sun lounges.

Unfortunately the music from the downstairs hotel bar in unnecessarily loud in the evening and blaring past midnight, if you’re after an early night it’s very disruptive. The finishes of the hotel were not all complete.

Good relaxing stay at the beach

The location so close to the sea with direct access to Private beach. Nice bar, close to the boulevard and centre. Good restaurant and breakfast The music of the bar stops at 12.

The restaurant inside ( we couldn’t sit outside because of the weather) is empty, unpleasant. Everything is based on sitting outside in the bar or at the swimming pool. It was with open windows so people could smoke, not nice.

Okay stay but I’ve definitely stayed in better places

The view from the rooms facing the water is beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. There was Netflix and other streaming services available although the TV volume was set to be very low so difficult to watch anything without subtitles. The hotel was very well situated for accessible movement especially if you’re depending on public transportation and about 100yds to the promenade. I particularly liked that the hotel gave 2 daily complimentary bottles of water to their guests.

The breakfast wasn’t nice. They offered the same meal daily and the food was too dry. They also don’t have any gluten free options. There wasn’t a towel hanger and bin in the room. The bathroom was open planned meaning one usually had water all over the floor after a shower. The male kitchen staff on my last day was discriminatory to me which I didn’t quite appreciate but chose to ignore. The music from the pool usually filters into the room especially at night. Also, we started hearing hover noises right outside our room at 8:30 pm without any prior warning from the hotel staff.

Very good location. Access to the sea! It’s worth noting that in Sarande, lots of areas of the sea are only accessible via lounges or hotels. Beds were big and comfortable. Rooms felt luxe. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Eine schöne Woche, bei bestem Wetter (funfact: Saranda hat etwa 320 Sonnentage im Jahr).

Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und eine Mischung aus europäischem Standard und lokalen Spezialitäten. Sehr lecker und immer frisch und mehr als ausreichend. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, man kann alles fußläufig erreichen.

Super Lage, schönes Hotel

Super Lage, direkt am Meer mit eigenem Strand, Sonnenliege und Sonnenschirm. Nach wenigen Gehminuten erreicht man viele Restaurants, Bars, Supermarkt, usw. Große Auswahl beim Frühstücksbuffet, da ist für jeden etwas dabei. Freundliches Personal.

Leider funktionierte das WLAN im Zimmer nicht. Das Waschbecken im Badezimmer war leider auch nicht so ansprechend, leichter Schimmel.

Insgesamt ein toller Urlaub in einem schönen Hotel mit fantastischer Lage

Der Empfang und die Betreuung im Hotel war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in der oberen Etage mit einer gigantischen Aussicht auf das Meer und Korfu. Die Zimmer sind gut isoliert, so dass man die Musik (die einige wohl als störend empfanden) nicht gehört hat.Die Lage ist unschlagbar. Die Außenanlage ist schön und modern eingerichtet. Vom Strand aus hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf Saranda. In wenigen Minuten erreicht man die Promenade. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Nur ein paar Kleinigkeiten: Im Badezimmer fehlen Haken für Zusätzliche Handtücher. Ein Zahnputzbecher und eine Seifenschale wären gut gewesen. Eine kleine kleine Nachttischlampe wäre schön gewesen, damit man nicht immer das große Licht benutzen muss. Auf dem Balkon könnte man noch Stangen für die nassen Badesachen anbringen. Das Licht auf dem Balkon brannte die ganze Nacht, so dass wir nicht bei offener Tür schlafen konnten.

Hôtel avec une plage privée

Hôtel avec un plage privée, ce qui à Saranda est un plus. Le petit-déjeuner est bon. L'Hôtel est situé près du centre. La wifi marchait très mal et était tout le temps en train de tomber.

Je suis arrivée un samedi et j'ai pensé que lors des quatre nuits je ne réussirai pas à dormir. Heureusement, pendant la semaine c'était plus calme mais le week-end c'est difficile de dormir à cause du bruit. La musique termine à minuit mais le bruit des voitures et des gens dans la rue continue! Pour un hôtel de cette catégorie, je pense qu'il y a des choses à améliorer: l'aspirateur qui reste, pendant la journée, dans le couloir avec un balai... pas très professionnel. La piscine est petite et m'a semblé sale et veillotte. Pour le prix, je m'attendais à plus.

We komen zeker terug!

Ontbijt was prima, elke dag net iets anders. Goede bedjes aan de zee. Geen onbeschofte mensen die handdoeken gingen neerleggen en dan de eerste uren niet meer kwamen. Heel vriendelijk personeel.

Koffie was erg slecht maar je kon tegen meerprijs een goede koffie kopen. Muziek was heel erg hard. Er stonden geen ligbedden aan het zwembad zoals wel op de afbeelding stond. Het prijsniveau was veel hoger san ik had verwacht van Albanie.

Trevliga dagar hade önskat att poolområdet inkl musiken var annorlunda.

Läget på hotellet var toppen, rummet och balkongen var fräscha. Vi gillade även frukosten och servicepersonalen var toppen.

Poolen behöver renoveras såg väldigt sliten ut nu. Det borde varit solstolar runt poolen och inte 30st badbord med stolar, såg mer ut att vara en sunkig poolbar än pool till ett hotell. Poolbaren spelade FÖRHÖG musik till 00:00 på natten, även fast det var max 2-5st små sittande sällskap där.. vore mer normalt med musik i lägre ljudnivå och inte ”nattklubbs-nivå”, vill man ha det går man till en av alla beachclubs som fanns.

Socialt & trevligt

Centralt & bra service av personalen, hyfsat med alternativ på frukosten. Fräsch pool och skönt att man kan byta mellan pool och havet om man vill då det är så pass nära.

Kylen kylde inte ner dricka tillräckligt, när det är sådan värme hade det varit skönt att kunna svalka sig med något extra kallt.

Unterkunft war sehr schön und sauber. Sehr gefallen hat uns die Poolanlage. Lage ist sehr gut, dafür teils auch laut. Wir waren in einem Zimmer direkt zu einer Event Location, wir hatten einen zimmerwechsel aufgrund der Lautstärke angefragt, was kein Problem war. Personal war super nett und hilfsbereit

Zimmer könnte noch mit mehr Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet werden

Strandbaren spilte dundrende høy musikk hele dagen frem til midnatt. Var plagsomt når du vil lese en bok på stranden og slappe av - og du kom ikke unna det på hotellrommet heller, støyen var så høy.

De wissel naar kamer 309 de laatste nacht was prima, de laatste nacht was goed. Daarvoor was VERSCHRIKKELIJK!!! Ontbijt was goed

Er was muziek tot 12u ‘s nachts. Daardoor konden we in kamer 109 SLECHT SLAPEN! Op moment dat we boekten, was er geen enkele waarschuwing dat we een kamer hadden die pas bruikbaar was vanaf 12 u zelfs met oorstoppen. Ik denk dat zoiets toch best helder gecommuniceerd moet worden vooraf.

Eines der gehobeneren Hotels vor Ort, mit entsprechenden Preisen

Das Frühstücks-Buffet hat (fast) keine Wünsche offengelassen (anderer Kaffee als nur "Americano" aus der Kanne sollte im Preis enthalten sein...). Die Einrichtung ist absolut zweckmässig, die Lage nur wenige Meter neben der Strandpromenade, den Restaurants und dem Unterhaltungsangebot hervorragend. Der hauseigene Strand rundet das Angebot ab.

Wahrscheinlich war gerade eine Renovation abgeschlossen - jedenfalls stimmten ein paar Details nicht von Anfang an (TV-Einstellung, Strandtücher, kein Stuhl im Raum, kein Duvet bis zum vorletzten Tag...). Der Preis ist am oberen Segment angesetzt, dazu die deftigen Preise an der Strand-Bar...

Le personnel, mais surtt le lit ! Quel confort ! J’ai trop bien dormi on a eu une vue mer magnifique et le petit balcon est top car à l’abri on peut y veiller très tard sans avoir froid ! La plage de proximité est sympa le petit dej top !

En mai : bcp de travaux dans l’hôtel dont des bruits de perceuse l’après midi ! Et la musique du bar de la piscine pas éteint avant minuit 1hr … donc si besoin de dormir au calme

- Super Lage - Sauber - Ordentliches Frühstück u.a. Kaffee( Cappuccino etc. Kostet jedoch extra) - Meerblick Zimmer sind super Allgemeiner Komfort war sehr gut.

-Abends war es leider sehr laut durch die Musik am Pool - Teils fehlten Kleinigkeiten im Zimmer (Handtuchhalter im Badezimmer oder Balkon, Hacken für Jacken, Mülleimer etc.) - Leider war morgens beim Frühstück keine Kennzeichnung, welches Fleisch serviert wird

Nie wieder Urlaub in der Partyhochburg Serande!!!!

Die Lage am Meer. Tolles sauberes Zimmer. Nettes Personal.

Die Beschallung aus 10 Bassboxen an der Poolbar. Von 8.30Uhr bis 0.00Uhr. Erst nach 2 malignem Beschweren wurde es etwas leiser gemacht. Dezentere Lautstärke würde dem Hotel gerecht werden. So kam man sich vor wie in einer Partyhochburg. Außerdem fuhren Abends Partyboote mit Ohrenbetäubender Bassmusik an den Hotels vorbei. Dafür kann das Hotel natürlich nicht. Wer es ruhig mag dem würde ich Serande nicht empfehlen. Für uns steht fest.: Das brauchen wir nicht noch einmal. Für ein Hotel mit diesem Preissegment haben Sie leider die Erwartungen nicht erfüllt.

Würden wir nicht nochmal buchen

Ein Hotel anzubieten, das noch nicht fertig renoviert ist, ist wirklich nicht in Ordnung und dann noch für so einen überteuerten Betrag für albanische Verhältnisse. Zuerst hatten wir ein Zimmer, in dem noch Haare von der Putzfrau lagen und die Reste der Vorgänger in der Toilette. Als ich darauf hinwies, wollte die Frau von der Rezeption das sehen und glaubte mir nicht, dass das in der Toilette nicht von uns ist!! Das muss man sich mal geben. Danach haben wir dann doch ein neues Zimmer bekommen. Das Kartelesegerät hing lose rum. Als Toilettenbürste gab es meiner Meinung nach noch eine, die von der Renovierung übrig blieb (blauer Plastikbecher mit Farbresten?!). Die Fußleisten waren nicht richtig verputzt. Auf den Gängen wurde Teppichboden verlegt, der noch Baureste enthielt. Auf der Gästetoilette im Erdgeschoss ist der Wasserhahn lose gewesen. Das Frühstück war wirklich schlecht. Der Kaffee war kalt. Auch darauf habe ich hingewiesen. Der Kellner hat dann selbst eine Tasse gezogen und den Finger reingehalten und es offenbar für gut befunden, denn geändert hat er nichts und stand weiter lustlos mit dem Handy rum. Wirklich unfreundlich. Am Pool waren beim Überlaufbecken Leisten rausgebrochen, für Kinder meiner Meinung nach unbrauchbar. Die Preise an der Poolbar waren auch extrem teuer. Ein Korca Bier kostete 6 Euro! In anderen Restaurants bekommt man das für 2-3 Euro. Die Cocktails wurden teilweise für 15 Euro angeboten. Wenn das Hotel europäischen Standart hätte, okay, aber das ist einfach nicht angemessen und unverschämt.
