The Worse Hotel in Vlore, maybe Albania.

If you want to be cheated and disrespected this is the place. After a 130k, two day bike ride I used Booking.com to find hotels with a hot tub. I choose Valis. They actually had a hot tub as their lead picture. When I arrived, after much delay by the staff. He informed me that the room I selected does not have a hot tub. I said I used the filter for hot tub and it gave me this room. He said sorry, for three times the price you can have a room with a hot tub, however there are none available. Under any circumstance or price I could not get a hot tub. I said fine. Mistakes happen. Refund my money and I will find another place. An hour later he charged my Visa for 1/2 the price. He did not have the honesty to tell me in person. I sent him a polite message asking for a refund. He refused. I've been traveling in Albania for three weeks and have been touched by Albanians honesty and kindness. Valis is a rare exception. The manager was rude, dishonest, and dismissive. I recommend going to El Mar a couple blocks away. The staff is Albanian nice, the rooms are beautiful and clean and the cost is the same as Valis charged me for cancelling.

The staff was dishonest and rude. The main door is off an ally that looks like it could be use in the movies for a mobster meeting place. They stole my money. There is no other way to say that. And sneakily waited an hour until charging me for a room I did not take. I would rather sleep on the beach then stay at Valis.

Peace of mind

Absolutely perfect! The entry from the back was easy to find, and everything was spotless from the moment I arrived. The place is beautifully maintained and feels very welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and made me feel right at home. Definitely a 5/5 experience — I’d love to stay here again!

I had the most amazing stay in Valis Residences. The staff was so welcoming and kind. Our room was fabulous , clean, sea view and one foot away from the beach. Definitely i will come back again . Vlora is an amazing city and Valis Residences made our stay more comfortable.

A True Gem on the Albanian Riviera! Our stay at Valis Hotel in Vlorë was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The hotel is modern, beautifully designed, and located right by the sea — offering stunning views that you’ll never forget. The rooms were spotless, stylish, and extremely comfortable, with all the amenities you could need. We especially loved waking up to the sound of the waves! Beautiful jacuzzi in the balcony for the perfect final touch ! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special — always friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. The food at the restaurant was also excellent, with a great variety of fresh, local dishes. If you’re planning a trip to Vlorë, Valis Hotel is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the best the Albanian Riviera has to offer. Highly recommende !we can’t wait to come back!

Our most relaxing and delightful experience in Albany

The combo sea view (with sunset) and jacuzzi is just perfect ! The staff is really nice, professional and reactive. The room and equipment are brand new and high quality. The localisation is perfect in the best part of the coast with the best places to eat and drink. We had great time at the beach right in front.

Not having a reception at the ground floor and entering the hotel by a courtyard on the back may be surprising at first but it is a detail once you are in your room. The elevator is beeping and could be disturbing a few for the rooms close to it.

My stay at Valis Luxury Hotel in Vlorë was beautiful—I was genuinely impressed with the entire experience. The room was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. I appreciated the thoughtful touches—from the soft bedding and cozy lighting to the sleek glass wardrobe and perfectly set-up coffee station. The bathroom was modern, spacious, and designed with both function and style in mind. Everything felt fresh, clean, and high-end. What really made this stay special was the peaceful atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel at ease. The staff were kind, attentive, and professional. Another huge plus was the location. Everything was so close the beach and shops were all within walking distance.

Amazing! Wish I stayed longer, the perfect gateway!

This place was everything. From the second I walked in, it felt peaceful and calming. The view of the water was absolutely stunning — I found myself just staring out the window in awe more times than I can count. It honestly felt like a little escape from real life. The room itself was so cozy and beautifully done, with soft lighting, warm wood tones, and the most comfortable bed. I especially loved the private balcony with the jacuzzi — surrounded by greenery and looking out over the sea. I sat out there in the quiet with my coffee in the morning and it was honestly one of my favorite moments of the trip.

Amazing stay! Everything exceeded our expectations, we are already planning our next stay here!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful hotel! From the moment we walked in, everything felt elevated and thoughtfully done. Our room was spotless, the bed was unbelievably comfortable—like sinking into a cloud—and the in-room jacuzzi was exactly what we needed to unwind! The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous and felt like something out of a high-end spa. We loved having plush bathrobes waiting for us, it’s little touches like that that made the whole experience feel extra luxurious. The location couldn’t have been better. The beach was just downstairs, and there were so many great restaurants nearby. We especially loved the brand new Valis Restaurant, it had such a great vibe, and the drinks and food were top-notch! Honestly, everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. We’re already planning our next trip it was that good!!

El lujo de la habitación, las vistas y el desayuno, muy bueno, se sirve a 50 metros en un local cercano. La calidad y abundancia, superaron las expectativas.El baño es muy cómodo y los artículos de aseo son buenos. La habitación con mucha tecnología y cama muy cómoda.

La entrada al alojamiento no es la dirección indicada y nos costó el ingreso, siendo una entrada por detrás de la dirección indicada. Nos tocaron días lluviosos y el ingreso fue algo caótico, se mojó mucho el equipaje y nosotros mismos. Algo negativo fue que tuvimos hormigas en la habitación, pero creo que fue porque quedó algo dulce de la estancia anterior.

Dobra lokalizacja, ładny widok na morze, czysty ładnie urządzony pokój, super pomysł z jacuzzi na balkonie, dobre sniadanie ale bardzo małe w najdroższym śniadaniu na jednym tost; 1 jajko , awokado, łosoś trochę zielonej składki, kawa i sok, to całe sniadanie .

Nie mieliśmy ręczników na plażę, nie mieliśmy leżaków, parasolki, miejsca na plaży przynależnego do hotelu, gdzie inne hotele je posiadały. Musieliśmy płacić za leżaki innym hotelom. Dobre ale bardzo male sniadanie, Musieliśmy chodzić i płacić za drugie sniadanie.. Nie było gdzie zawiesić ręczników w pokoju czy szlafroka . Wejście do hotelu od tyłu budynku.. Po 2 dniach zmiana restauracji na inną dalej od hotelu Big scoop. Wyłączanie klimatyzacji w nocy, nie zawsze działała z panela w pokoju

Uitzicht vanaf balkon op zee, inclusief jacuzzi

Locatie van de ingang en de omgeving ervan komt over als een achterbuurt. Kamer ziet er netjes uit maar basic checks van de kamer vooraf ontbreekt: jacuzzi moest worden gerepareerd, de safe idem. Schoonmaken van de kamer gebeurt niet automatisch, moet worden verzocht.

Dubbelcheck je geboekte kamer!

Het bed was echt zooo lekker, en ook nog eens super ruim en lang! De gordijnen gingen automatisch open en dicht. De douchekop was reusachtig en dat maakte het super fijn douchen.

Wij hadden verwacht een kamer te hebben geboekt met jaccuzi en zeezicht, maar niet alle kamers hebben dat!!! Dus let op als je gaat boeken dat je niet voor de gek wordt gehouden ;). De ingang was erg lastig te vinden, het ligt aan de achterzijde tussen flatgebouwen in. De badkamer was aan de kleine kant en onhandig door de deur die tegen de wc open ging. We kregen het nachtlampje niet uit, blijkbaar moet je tegen de houten achterplaat aan drukken/slaan. Dat zorgde voor irritatie (wij konden niet vinden hoe deze uit moest toen we wilde gaan slapen). Verder was het uitzicht niet zo heel denderend aan de achterzijde...

Bon séjour à Vlorë !

Chambre très propre et de belle taille, moderne, la nôtre donnant sur le front de mer avec le jacuzzi sur la terrasse... juste le top. Hôtel vraiment bien situé 👍🏻 Très bon petit-déjeuner situé dans le restaurant au rez-de-chaussée côté front de mer, facile à trouver.

Assez difficile de trouver de la place pour se garer malgré le parking sous-terrain sécurisé (d'assez petite taille...)

Alles in allem Top!

Sehr schönes Hotel mit traumhafter Aussicht. Die Lage war perfekt, mit direktem Blick auf Strand und Meer – einfach herrlich. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer, beide modern eingerichtet und mit praktischen Extras wie Kaffeemaschine ausgestattet. Der Aufenthalt war rundum angenehm, wir würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder wählen. Besonders schön: Zum Hotel gehört ein eigener Strandabschnitt mit kostenlosen Liegestühlen. Dieser wurde frisch erneuert, alle Liegen waren neu und in einwandfreiem Zustand. Auch die Zimmerdetails haben überzeugt: Im Bad lagen Zahnbürsten, Zahnpasta, Shampoo und weitere Annehmlichkeiten bereit. Alle Vorhänge sind elektrisch bedienbar, die Klimaanlage funktionierte tadellos. Etwas ungewöhnlich ist, dass das Hotel keine klassische Lobby hat. Der Zugang erfolgt über einen Hintereingang direkt zu den Zimmern; im obersten Stockwerk befindet sich lediglich eine kleine Ecke als Empfang. Das inkludierte Frühstück wurde in einem nahegelegenen Restaurant serviert. Dort wählt man ein Menü von der Karte, inklusive Getränke und Kaffee. Alles war frisch zubereitet, sehr lecker und es gab sogar frisch gepressten Orangensaft – absolut top. Zusätzliche Bestellungen sind allerdings kostenpflichtig.

Ein paar kleine Nachteile gibt es dennoch: Um zum Strand oder Restaurant zu gelangen, muss man einmal um den Block herumlaufen, da der Zugang nur über den Hintereingang erfolgt. Im Zimmer habe ich einen Schminktisch vermisst – zum Stylen und Schminken musste ich improvisieren 😅. Ausserdem ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis eher hoch: Für zwei Nächte haben wir über Booking.com 516,29 € bezahlt, was für Albanien doch recht teuer ist. Da überlegt man sich schon zweimal: Albanien zu diesem Preis – oder gleich die Malediven 😉.

Moeilijk te vinden. Het hotel personeel heeft echt hun best gedaan het ons zo makkelijk mogelijk te maken. Dit resulteerde erin dat we uiteindelijk goed zijn opgevangen door het personeel. Erg vriendelijk!

Schön aber im moment Baustellengebiet

Da uns die normalen Zimmer nicht ansprachen (Sicht auf einem ziemlich heruntergekommenen Hinterhof, konnten wir auf ein anderes Zimmer mit Preisaufschlag umbuchen. Super Meeresblick und eigenen Jacuzzi auf der Terasse

Es gibt zurzeit totale Umbauarbeiten, unter uns wurden früh morgen lärmintensive Arbeiten durchgeführt, im Aufzug und im Hausgang traf man auf Baustellenarbeiter und es gab weder Rezeption noch ein Frühstücksraum- dafür musste man ca. 200m in der Früh hinlaufen und da auch nur Waffeln oder Toast (bigscoop-eine waffel-crepe und toast bar) 1 Gericht mit Saft und kaffe. Es gab keine Alternative zu Kuhmilch (die ich aus Gesundheitlichen gründen z.b im Moment nicht essen kann), ich geh meistens auch in Pyjama zum Frühstücksbuffet und schmink und zieh mich danach an. Alles nicht schlimm , aber hätte man es im vornherein gewusst, hätte man vielleicht ein anderes 4* (!) Hotel gebucht. Natürlich entsprechen die europäischen 4* nicht den albanischen, aber es sind grundsätzliche banale Dinge, die dort eben erwartet werden.

Een parel in de drukte!

Tot in de puntjes geregeld. Producten, schoon netjes, bad was al een beetje gevuld met water. Heerlijk ontbijt gehad. In een ijs en smoothie salon op 1 min lopen afstand. Wat overigens ook een prachtige locatie is om te zien?

Voordat we aankwamen was het lastig te vinden. Er was nog geen officiële ingang waardoor we in het begin het gevoel kregen dat we misschien opgelicht waren. Het hotel er onder kende luxery hotel niet namelijk. Volgende jaar is de verbouwing klaar hebben we begrepen. We hebben overigens geen last gehad van de verbouwing!

Camera perfetta nuova elegante e pulita. La colazione è presso un bar a pochi passi di distanza, abbiamo potuto scegliere un salato e un dolce oltre a caffè e succo. L’unica cosa pico piacevole è che non ha un ingresso tradizionale ma si entra da un portone in un cortile, la reception è al settimo piano. La ragazza della reception è stata molto gentile e ci è venuta a prendere in strada in quanto non si riusciva a trovare.

Das Hotel ist eine Baustelle, die provisorische Rezeption, bestehend aus einem Schreibtisch, befindet sich in der siebten Etage mit einem schlecht funktionierenden Aufzug. Es gibt keine Lobby, man muss über einen schmutzigen Hinterhof in das Haus gehen. Das Zimmer selbst entsprach den Erwartungen.

Prachtige kamer met bubbelbad op balkon. Goede badkamer. Goed ontbijt maar à la carte bij BigScoop (zaak op 100m van hotel).

Het hotel is HEEL moeilijk te vinden, extra communicatie én duidelijke instructies over hoe je de receptie kan vinden, zijn nodig (achterkant gebouw en dan binnengaan tot op de 6de verdieping).

Super consigliato🤩

Super consigliato! È la seconda volta che soggiorniamo in questo hotel. Struttura nuova, pulita e a due passi dal lungomare e dai locali. Vista mare splendita, la colazione ottima e lo staff molto cordiale e disponibile. È disponibile anche una jacuzzi privata in terrazzo di cui abbiamo usufruito quest’estate.
