We loved the quirky layout of the property and the ease of having a supermarket next door. The features of the old church was nice (however dining area/kitchen can get very warm when sun blazing). Parking was easy too in the free carpark. Fakenham town is 2 minute walk and there is a lovely circular walk along the river. We travelled to varieties of coastal towns/beaches (Sheringham/Holkham was our faves) and there are plenty of public transport available for lots of neighbouring towns.

It isn't so much what we didn't like but more a be prepared advice. On arrival we were slightly disappointed to the small lack of attention to detail. In the ground floor bedroom the clothes rail was loose, hangers were dusty, chest of drawers surface is peeling and location of wall cabinet is right next to bed (a potential hazard to those getting up in the night to bump their head!!) We didn't use the small bedroom however if you sleep in there (understandably) only part of the arch window is covered for sleeping purposes - cute room though. We understand the choice of furniture in keeping with the theme of the church however the chairs and sofa are not necessarily comfortable and the dining table top is loose meaning don't lean on it when eating. (Right at last minute we turned table to steady however if more than 2 stay that wouldn't work!) Be mindful there ae several stairs to access the lounge at the top however the breeze from the skylights is amazing! The garden area is your entrance to the property so the bench is facing the street and dogs dont have much space or privacy. Finally be mindful you are situated on the main route to town so it will be noisy with traffic. Overall the property is tired and there are noticeable repairs need doing however general cleanliness is good and facilities such as bathrooms and kitchen are nice.

Feeling of history. Good position for reaching many bird-watching sites on the North Norfolk coast...and to visit Felbrigg NT Reliable hot water for showers. Very convenient for Tesco..ie, next door! Free parking Staff always very pleasant & helpful when contacted.

Couldn't close downstairs bathroom door. Shelf above sink in that bathroom is sloping/ broken..of no use..needs replacing. Chest of drawers in downstairs bedroom is losing the veneer top, so needs fixing/covering or replacing. Need SMALLER sharp knife in kitchen...or, tell clients to bring one. We struggled to read heating controls, though we sorted it eventually! We would be happystay there again, if birding at that end of the coast

Very comfortable with decor that is very much in keeping with the property. Modern kitchen is well laid out.

The bathroom on the ground floor is lovely but the toilet area is quite small and “tight”.

Good location and the property had a lovely feel to it.

Uncomfortable settee and lots of housekeeping issues. Hosts apologised afterwards and said they would look into the issues with housekeeping. Found sanitary wrappers, dog chew, used cotton buds, chocolate wrappers and general mess around the property. It hadn’t been cleaned to a good standard.
