    La Vie Hotel looks nice and modern, but the overall experience is mixed. The design is clean and aesthetic. Check-in was smooth and I could check in early at 2pm, which is a plus. Housekeeping is also very good, fast response when I asked for towels and a laundry bag. However, there are quite a few downsides. There is no lift, so guests have to use the stairs. Not suitable for elderly people or those with heavy luggage. The room is small, and the table is too small to work comfortably, even though it seems targeted for business travelers. Facilities are quite basic. No kettle in the room you have to go downstairs to use the water filter machine. The ironing area is not practical, with no proper space to hang clothes. WiFi is very slow, which is a big issue. The bathroom door doesn’t function well, so water can leak out when showering. Parking is limited and open. Overall, it’s okay for a short stay or last-minute option. Would I come back? Probably only if other hotels in Penang are fully booked, not my first choice.
