Quaint house in the charming village

Old house with history after a great renovation. Rooms in the 2-bedroom apartment are spacious, and the living room and kitchen provide a great space to spend time. All furniture and appliances are top-class, and beds are comfortable. The surroundings make this place special. The patio, which is still being built, provides a wonderful space to spend time in the evenings, and a stunning church towering over the village adds character to this place.

Pillows were too high for me, which caused some neck strain. There is no AC in the apartment, so in summer you can use only the fans that are provided in the rooms. It is close to the road so cars passing at night may wake you up.

We love Maria Saal. The location was great. Wish the accommodation better reflected the advertisement.

It was very close to where we needed to be.

The room was not at all what we expected. The pictures on the website at the time we booked looked like we were getting a nice little apartment for 3 nights. In fact, it was a very oddly arranged, very small room with a shower and sink in the same space right next to the bed. Hardly a private bath. You could not do your hair and makeup in front of a mirror because there was no outlet by the mirror due to it being in the shower. The floor was wet and unsafe after showering. It was ridiculously hot and the fan provided was an industrial grade fan that was quite loud/ not useful to cool the place down and enjoy the peacefulness of Maria Saal. The room was really small with the oddly placed high top table and bar stools, one had to sidle by to get to the sink. At least there was a nice toilet but closed off in a tiny room without electricity and the battery operated light would turn off abruptly if you sat still for 20 seconds. The coffee maker was great and I was glad there was a dollhouse sized fridge for my milk for coffee. I would say that the creative use of space to cram everything into 172 m2 left something to be desired. I don’t know if that room could be remodeled but I would recommend it.

Perfect couple of nights away.

Property was a lovely old building, with the room being recently redecorated. The room was well presented with added extras and it’s clear the owner has a close attention to detail. Bed was comfy and room very clean. The owner was easily contactable, sending a video of the property and directions, which was nice and even accommodating us for an extra night. Overall couldn’t fault the room, property or communication, perfect little get away in a lovely village. Would be more than happy to return here again in the future.

A very enjoyable stay!

We liked the modern and functional furniture with elements of classical old style maintained. All very clean, felt comfortable and welcoming, including the handwritten welcome note :) appreciated the coffee and well equipped kitchen.

Small touches of functionality missing, probably because it’s still very new, such as waste baskets in the bathroom, some elements to hang in the shower so you have easy access to shampoo and not have to step out of the bathroom for it, some wardrobe/hangers for coats at the entrance. As we say in German “discontent at high level” or first world problems :) also it would be useful to point to visitors the very convenient 24h self service Carinthia store across the street, which we only discovered the second day.

Originell, komfortabel und erholsam

Die Wohnung in einem schönen alten Haus lag verkehrsgünstig mit eigenem Parkplatz und zugleich sehr charmant unterhalb eines historischen Kirchenbaus mit teilweise antiken römischen Reliefs. Eines ist sogar berühmt und stellt einen römischen Reisewagen dar. Die Ausstattung ist modern, etwa mit barrierefreier Dusche und dabei mit Rücksicht auf das historische Gemäuer intelligent eingebaut. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gut erreichbar.

Ein anderes Hotel buchen, mit Rezeption !

Keine Rezeption, Zimmertürcode hat am Abend NICHT funktioniert. Da kein Ansprechpartner im Haus ist, kompliziert. Würden dieses Hotel NICHT mehr buchen. Rezeption fehlt!

Pod Marienkirche Maria Saal

Opravdu velikostně úsporný pokojík (velikost byla prezentována!) s opravdu velkou manželskou postelí, účelně vybaven, vše čisté a funkční, kávoval jak na tablety, tak rychlovarná konvice a dokonce i toustovač. Na přespání v blízkosti Klagenfurtu jako dělané. Pokyny k dojezdu, podmínkám a self-checking přišly velmi podrobné, ale pouze v němčině, na telefonický dotaz reagoval ubytovatel anglicky velmi vstřícně. Přístup ze zadu, pár kroků do kopce. Umístění přímo pod Marienkirche. Parkování jsme zvolili raději naproti na velkém parkovišti, před ubytováním je malé místo a špatně se na něm otáčí.

Vzhledem k velikosti místnůsky s toaletou by byla lepší její orientace čelem ke dveřím, ale my jsme to zvládli.

Es war alles perfekt!

Klein aber fein! Ideal für einen kurzen Aufenthalt. Man ist gleich auf der B317 und hat einen guten Anschluss zu den Autobahnen. Die Unterkunft bietet aber auch größere Appartements für einen längeren Aufenthalt, diese waren aber alle ausgebucht. Das Bad und WC ist super in den Raum integriert. Super bequemes Bett, sehr sauber, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, etc.. alles vorhanden. Komme sicher wieder.
