Westminster College Cottages, Cambridge

The daily breakfast was great! Lot's of choices. Great coffee. The cottages feel more like apartments than hotel rooms so that was comforting. The staff were excellent; very friendly and helpful. The same goes for the people of Cambridge. The location of the college was great. Wonderful nearby places to visit, shopping, restaurants, and pubs. And the bookstores in town were just awesome.

I can't really think of anything disappointing or that I didn't like. Really a very pleasant experience.

Breakfast fantastic, staff amazing, location perfect

Nothing it could always be cheaper but that’s it

Perfect location, very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed in cottage and parking availability. Good breakfast. Excellent value for money. Thank you

Table lamp in sitting room , spare loo roll, fresh milk and coffee pods for the coffee machine would make a great stay even better.

Location is excellent, as are the grounds. It is a nice old building and has somewhat of the Hogwarts feel to it. Breakfast was fine, perfectly adequate. The staff I encountered during the weekend were lovely and helpful, however when I got in touch afterwards they were much less helpful.

We had booked a room in a cottage which in the pictures and description was a large double bed in a decent size room. When we arrived we had been allocated a different room which was a box room with a baby double in. When we queried this at reception, the staff were apologetic but had no other beds to offer us as the rooms were all full. The staff member was delightful, acknowledged there was an issue with what booking.com had offered and what was provided and, among her suggestions to remedy the situation, offered us compensation. When I requested this on Monday I was told by the head of accommodation (who was ironically much less accommodating) that we had in fact been allocated the correct room and she would given us ony 10% off as a gesture of good will. If you are a normal size adult booking this hotel for two people please do check which room you are getting in advance as the bed was tiny. The bathroom and lounge but were fine, a bit studenty and definitely not luxury, but perfectly functional.
