The accommodation was spotless and so comfortable. Everything you needed for the stay was there . The house was modern and had a lovely peaceful vibe.

You will need a car. That did not bother us as we did not want to be near a town anyway.

It was one of the very best stays in our two weeks in Ireland. We stayed at six different locations.

The Gamekeeper's Lodge had the rustic facade of an 18th century building but an interior that was completely modernized. The bedrooms were perfect with a master bedroom en suite and two very comfortable bedrooms upstairs. It is a very private location with a nice area to park in front of the lodge. My two companions and I were delighted with the accommodation and the friendliness of our host, Gerard.

We were a bit confused about using the combination washer/dryer and never did figure the dryer out so our clothes were still wet. My suggestion is to have very specific instructions on using the machine, but in no way did it dampen our enthusiasm or enjoyment of the property. It was a top notch property.

Perfect for detox, beach or fishing stay

Just 7min from Killybegs. Surrounded by mountains. Nice and friendly owner Ger. Very cosy, newly built holiday home. Looks tiny in the pictures but so much space inside. Book and check this out! 3 bedrooms with very comfy double beds. And sitting room has unfoldable couch. Very good wifi. Perfect place to detox your mind & soul. So close to beautiful Maghera Beach, which wasn't overcrowded. And waterfall just minutes of driving. While brother was fishing in the ocean, there was time to explore Donegal. P.S. Don't follow google maps the last 10min, unless you want unforgetable rocky mountain drive with like in the movies😄 Drive to Killybegs first and then take a good straight road to this little gem house!

We regreted for not booking second night, but we had to go back home with the catch from the ocean 🐟
