The Gamekeeper's Lodge

Our family had a fantastic stay at this very cute, beautifully refurbished cottage in such a peaceful location — with only a few sheep for neighbours! It’s perfectly situated for exploring Ardara, Narin Beach, Portnoo, Maghera Beach & Caves, Killybegs and so much more. The views from every window were amazing and at night the cottage looked like something straight out of a fairytale. The house was spotlessly clean, spacious and had everything we needed, including the very welcome iron and ironing board! The showers were great, there was plenty of hot water, the beds were comfy and the underfloor heating was easy to use. A brilliant place to stay and a fantastic base for exploring Donegal. Thank you for a wonderful holiday — we’d definitely recommend it!

The only downside for us was the sofa and armchairs which we found quite low and lacking in support, so they weren’t the most comfortable for relaxing after a day exploring, which was disappointing when everything else about the cottage was so good.

Lovely location in a toasty little cottage. Very nice refurb and well appointed.

Very uncomfy lounge suite
