Bad spa experience

It was a great location overlooking Rutland Water. Close to everything we wanted to explore. The apartment we stayed in was well kitted out with everything we needed.

We chose this property because we booked into the spa. It was all booked in advance and confirmation emails were received. But when we arrived for our treatment they told us we had no booking. When shown the confirmation email they found us in their system, but blamed a computer upgrade. They were fully booked for other clients. Their attitude was ‘ sorry but not our fault’. Completely ruined our planned day. Very disappointed. No compensatory experience offered.

Maybe nit-picking, but the staircase banister was very dusty and the lighting in the bathroom was dim .....

Great location and fabulous place to get together with friends and family.

It’s such a fabulous lodge to get together with family for special occasions. Perfect location too. Very spacious rooms.

I wasn’t keen on the layout of kitchen and living being upstairs on the Cottesmore lodges, however I did like the big windows which make the lodges look good. A bit dated in areas but doesn’t affect anything.

Very nice staff, good parking situation, peaceful lodge and lovely setting. Also enjoyed the gym.

Poor signage around the site-no signs for where the gym was. Might be harder for some people with mobility issues to get around the site as it was hilly with steps in some areas. Stile access to the reservoir path was on the map but no stile seemed to exist.

Quiet location

Dated interiors. Very difficult /impossible. heating controls. Very poor glassware and crockery in self catering lodge.

excellent location and views plus close to the Aqua Park.

We were in a lodge so catered for ourselves. The view was excellent as we looked out over the reservoir and in early morning could see the rabbits playing in the grass. The lodge is in a very quiet location, so good nights sleep was guaranteed. A 15min walk takes you to the Aqua Park.

The lodge whilst providing good facilities it was unfortunately tired and dated and in need of modernisation. The timber panelling made it very dark in a dismal way, plus the furniture showed the signs of ware and tear over the years.

Most of the furniture belongs in a charity shop. Quick rub down and add paint. Buzzing from electric meter non-stop. Pillows a series of lumps. Allowed only a butchered half of a washing up sponge. Can times be that hard?

Beautiful setting and great facilities, we could have definitely stayed for longer

Given the amazing view it would have been nice to have clean windows. We were frustrated with the wifi arrangement - you had to pick up a dongle from the reception but there were none available. The accommodation is a bit inflexible for multiple adults - you cannot push together to single beds because of the fitted cupboards that are more of a hinderence than a help - you can't even get to the desk because of the bed. No corkscrew in the chalet?????

location was fantastic for walking around Rutland water, The area was so quite and peaceful, we did not use the gym, swimming pool or the restaurant but we heard good thing about them. We went mainly for the walks.

designated parking under a tree we had to remove a lot of bird muck which has still left a mark on the roof.

Very over priced and poor service

Fantastic location but difficult to access for those with mobility issues.

There were a large number of dead rabbits left lying about which was really unpleasant and dangerous for our dog. Beds were uncomfortable leading to three sleepless nights Service in Blossoms was very poor, we had reason to complain three times because of slow, missing orders, and lack of attention from staff. Very disappointing for a 4* resort

Had a fantastic stay!!!

We had a fantastic stay. I had emailed requests ahead of our stay and everything was met. The lodge had everything we needed. Kitchen was well equipped Beds were really comfortable, everything was clean and tidy, we could park right outside. The views of the lakes were brilliant. The staff were all friendly and helpfull. The reception, especially Hannah and the membership service staff went above and beyond to meet our requests. The swimming pool was a nice added bonus. Highly recommened and will certainly visit again.
