The host was great, very accommodating and they went way out of their way to make us feel at home. We were able to check in early which was really helpful to our trip. The place is in a quaint neighborhood with nice views, they offered us the best chairs in the yard for relaxing in the evening. You'll share the area with the host and you might get to see them chase down rouge cattle with the horses they own. They're is a bar and grill down the road that has affordable dining, live music and good service.

It is rustic for sure. The host is awesome and provides a great place to just relax in the nice mountains for a few days. Will definitely come back.

The rustic cabin was a delight! Rustic it is, but very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Linda goes out of her way to make it personal and special - fresh flowers in the sitting room, plenty of towels (even kitchen towels!), plenty of dishes, utensils, and cookware. Roomy shower, a storeroom for your extra stuff, and a good-sized fridge. And the views are great - large picture window in the sitting room with pleasant view of hillside and trees to the east and comfy chairs outside on the grounds where you can sit and see the mountain tops to the north. A short drive to the Vallecito Creek trailhead and a short walk to the Lake Eileen trailhead (highly recommend both!). Close to the Weminuche Woodfire Grill (again, recommend!). We would happily stay here again.

The property overall was nice, clean and nice views. However, the bed was not comfortable and the shower dripped all night.
