About this house rental

The warm cottage setting is relaxed. Pets welcome (except on Beds/Furniture). Located on Mill St. in 'olde town', where the charm of Bayfield takes guests back to a simpler time. Pet-parks, Restaurants, Lakes, Fishing, Skiing, Hiking, Mesa Verde are within striking distance. There are many places to visit while staying at this centrally located country home. Consider a trip on the narrow gauge train to Silverton from the Durango Depot or visit the Hot Springs in Pagosa Springs for a spa day.
The space
The hot tub for six, is a recent addition for your Colorado star filled evening experience. Our pet-friendly cottage provides a shaded, fenced yard with grass for your pets to chill in.
The Cottage has In-floor heating and air conditioning for year-round comfort. Two bedrooms, Living room (with pull out bed on the couch), dining room, and the Sun Room ( twin day bed) and ceiling fans. Plenty of windows bring the outside in. Two full bathrooms. THE FRONT PATIO HAS A SECURITY CAMERA AND NO OTHER CAMERAS. THE TOWN IS EXTREMELY SAFE AS WELL.

First impression of the property was amazing! The house was extremely clean and charming. There was also a perfect set up that included everything you could possibly do in the area. We also loved using the hot tub on our stay; it was a perfect way to end our trip. Definitely would recommend!

Staying at this precious cottage in a fun, safe little tinker town was just an extra treat to visiting the Polar Express train ride. It was very cozy and we loved the hot tub. There was plenty of space for us all. Very accommodating hosts. Highly recommend.

Cute house, cute neighborhood. However nearly all the furnishings had been changed from what is photographed. There was only a regular sofa and on chair in the living room, so we couldn't all sit down together. Trundle bed in sunroom has been replaced with full size day bed, so we had to buy an air mattress for one of our teens. Beautiful sleigh bed has been replaced with cheap Hollywood frame in primary room, not a big deal but big toe stubbing hazard in the dark. One large mixing bowl would have been nice for a party of seven. Most of us showered in the primary because chandelier in the bathtub is a hazard for tall people. Enjoyed the deer walking through the yard and the neighborhood park.

The Cottage on Mill Street was the perfect place for our fall trip to the Durango area. The cottage is in a small town outside of Durango, away from the crowds. It was peaceful with a nice assortment of restaurants. The cottage was spacious and well stocked. If your coming to this area, this odds the place to stay.

This place was truly amazing. The place was super clean and very well supplied with anything you could imagine. The hot tub was an added bonus and so relaxing. We stayed on the 4th of July and the parade was right in your front yard pretty much so it was nice to watch. The park was right next door and they put on an amazing fireworks show. It was one of the nicest places to stay and would definitely stay again. Definitely recommend this place for sure.

Very cozy and quiet, right in the heart of Bayfield. Nicely appointed, with the exception of closet for long apparel. Beds were comfy, hot tub is really nice. The host was responsive to questions and took care of what was needed when asked. Dog friendly, too! We recommend this place without hesitation.

We came up from Texas with a group of friends to ride the mountains and enjoy the scenery and to discover all the small towns. The cottage was as described hidden in a nest of a small town with a taco place 2 doors down ( score) plus a Mexican restaurant about 4 doors down that has huge portions and took us late at night. The cottage was clean, comfortable and stocked well. Our only issue ( not complaint) was for us girls, there were no full length mirrors and the front and back yard could use a quick mow. While in the hot tub the growth was really noticeable. Loved the claw tub after a long day on the motorcycle. Every appliance worked perfect. A big concern was we were not aware that there was no central heat and air. Being from Texas we were VERY concerned but the window unit and the swamp cooler helped tremendously and was not an issue. Overall, a cute little place with a location that was perfect for us to depart in every direction! The neighbors kept to themselves and waived at us and let us be social in the front porch swing at night. We would definitely book again. Hands down.

We had a great stay with our kids - The cottage made a great home base for our day trips in the area. Mesa Verde National Park, Durango, Telluride, Silverton, Purgatory, etc. Great and easy communication with the host. Nice, quiet town.

The house was nice! The owner beautifully updated the kitchen and bathrooms. The area was very quiet. The tile floors were heated which was a wonderful treat if you’re staying in the colder months like we did. This was my favorite part of the house! There were plenty of hot tub towels. The beds were comfortable. No king size beds, so we were kinda tight sleeping at night. The day bed/ sun room had plenty of extra space for kids … overall great stay. The only “con” is/ was the pet rule. “One” pet hair found on furniture could result in an upcharge. This was stressful b/c hair floats and we were cinscience about this mosy of the trip. The owner will allow pets but you have to watch your pet constantly not to jump on the furniture. Or bring your dog bed if they sleep on it. All in all, we had a very nice, relaxing stay!!!
