El Faro is truly unique in that it has the best combination of everything people are looking for in a vacation rental. Being beach front is a great benefit and not only is it on the ocean but its central location in Playa is simply unmatched. Being located on the beach in the heart of Playa at the famous Lighthouse on 10th street is perfect. You may leave your car behind as you can walk to everything, and transportation is excellent. El Faro is situated on a long stretch of the beach, so it is like you are tucked away in an oasis right in the heart of all the action. The famous 5th avenue is so close that you probably won't even break a sweat on the short walk even on a hot day. But don't worry even if you do start to perspire the ocean is literally only a few steps away waiting to cool you off. Or if you can't make it past the sand to the beach you can stop and take a swim in the amazing pool. All joking aside the setting is quite spectacular and you simply won't find another property in Playa that has such a large pool and garden area that is so close to everything and is situated on such a desired section of the beach.
The condo itself has one of the best locations in the El Faro complex and has breathtaking unobstructed views of the ocean. There are direct ocean views from the master bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, and ample terrace. I’ve been using rental condos for vacations for over 20 years, and this has probably been my favorite one. Everything in the place was updated and in good condition. Check-in was easy and the condo was super clean. The condo was very well stocked for anything we needed on our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure was great. Being close to the beach pool in fifth Street was wonderful and there was no problem with hearing outside noises in the condo.Front desk, staff and security were wonderful. And having the keypad to open and close, the door was great. We never had to worry about losing a key.You can’t beat the location, wonderful view of the ocean and super close to fifth Avenue. The only thing that could be a negative for some people is that unfortunately over the past few years, the beach has eroded away in front of the condo, but there is a very nice beach, a short walk away. It was not a big deal for us because we are not sit on the beach people. But if that is important to you, this might not be the right spot.When we go back to Playa Del Carmen, we will definitely stay here again.

Condo super nice.Location is excellent downtown with in walling distance to most everything. Very relaxing vacation. Only downside some restaurants and businesses give foreigners a up to a 100 percent up charge. Ask other guests where to eat.

This location was amazing . The condo unit was well equip . It was great to have a cleaning service every other day of our stay. We loved that the unit was right on the beach . The balcony was large and had a propane bbq which is rare for Mexico. The owners were always there to help with any question we might have had. The staff on the property were very kind and it was a super safe place to stay
