Location was great. Room was large and could sleep up to 4. Bathroom in the room. Hot water is scalding at first if you are not aware. But as you shower it progressively gets cooler. The hot water does not last long. While traveling, we did not notice the online check in that is required since there is no one on site. Even with direction, getting in and finding the room is not easy. Locks are complicated at first. Cage like small elevator. Perfect for a group of girls or guys, young family. For us, we prefer hotels. I wish Hotel.com would make it more apparent which type of place you are booking.

We really enjoyed our stay here at cavalieris grand! The electronic locks were a little odd at first (unlocking the main door with your code will then unlock your room door as well) but we picked it up quickly. I can see more traditional travellers finding this a little troublesome though. Check in was done online via a form and submitting photos with no contact at all with the host aside from WhatsApp so that’s something to be aware of should you book here and don’t feel comfortable with that. The place was great though and we only had minor, personal issues with it. The host is very responsive over WhatsApp and helped us when we needed them to. Would stay here again!

Great location! Right in the midst of everything, a lot of landmarks are within walking distance. But at the same time it was quite at night. And also very safe. The keyless entry was confusing at first but once you figure it out, it’s easy to use.

The check in process was very incredibly complicated. The apartment is on the second floor, which is the third floor, which is the first floor on the elevator. The property location was very walkable to tour Bologna. Clean and quiet property, we received a code via email to access the property, so we never meet any staff, fortunately we didn't need anything. I would stay there again.

The location of the property is excellent and the owner is easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. Some of the shower was a bit old and dirty. Other than that, highly recommend.

The room we had was very nice! The building was beautiful and right next to all the shops and restaurants. Check in and out was easy. The owner was very responsive by text and calls. The beds were made beautiful with each of our towels and toiletries. Wonderful stay!!

It is in one of the big old buildings that have shops on the ground floor and a mix of offices, apartments and guest accommodations. The other is to punch in on the doorway of the guest house in the dingy and very dark second floor. This then opens both the door to let you in and at the same time unlocks the door to your bedroom. When I arrived for a single night at the start of my short Italian trip, I met the owner. He told me I would have no problem leaving my small bag whilst I went sightseeing the next day. My code would still work in the afternoon. It didn't! I ended up having to make an expensive phone call to get a new code. The trouble started before then, A simple breakfast is provided in a cafe across the road. When I returned, I left my bag in the bedroom as instructed. But the front door would not open.I tried at least 6 times. I was completely stuck! No way out and no way back to the bedroom. After 20 long minutes, a maid finally arrived. On my return 5 days later, the internet did not work properly. When I was ready to take a shower, the water was completely cold. Someone had forgotten to switch on the water heater! Add in the noise of the traffic on the main road outside and I cannot recommend this property.

Pls note- no front desk. Need to prearrange arrival time. Only one of 4 rooms appeared to have an in suite bathroom. Other rooms appeared to have an external bathroom.

The size of my room was very large. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect. I did get a little confused with google maps navigation there but it was all very easy once I worked it out. The apartment itself is very secure. I love the code lock idea. Thanks for a great stay. It would be great to have a breakfast alternative to croissants though - I am not sure my jeans fit very well after 2 weeks of these haha
